The LCB/RCB issue depends on your tactics. A Pulis's team doesn't need to care about it. However, for a possession team with ball-playing defenders, left foot for LCB and right foot for RCB is the best fit for the defenders to play straight line forward ground passes through the gap of the first line of opposite players, as well as accurate diagonal long passes to the other sideline. That's why Louis van Gaal insists to play Badstuber and Blind in LCB over Lucio and Jones. But of course, LVG is clearly too mad on it that he forgets other factors needed to be considered.

I wonder if letting Fazio and Milos go means that Vertonghen's injury might not be as bad as first feared

Probably has no impact as Milos wasn't considered as he refused to sign a new contract and Fazio clearly wasn't trusted

We still have Toby, Wimmer, Dier and CCV even with Jan injured

Fazio I'm unsure of. I actually think Dier is doing better in midfield than defence and I wouldn't want to take him out of that role, then CCV is a hot prospect but I wouldn't want him starting a premier league game yet

What a bizarre signing he turned out to be. Add him to the list with Chiriches, Paulinho and Soldado and move on.

Didn't the Sevilla chairman ban him from the stadium? whats up with that?

Have to say CB issue worries me for our top 4 chances. We are short from last window for a DMF and Dier has slotted in well, but only as luck would have it. Having to use him as CB will seriously effect our tactics. I can see this as a turning point in our season I am afraid. So does letting Fazio go effect this? Not sure to be honest. I guess the question is would you of played Fasio over CCV in non EPL games? It does look like we are now short in the CB position with EPL Europe league and FA cup games to play. And for me using Dier is not a great option.

Pochettino has made it clear with his selection recently that Carter-Vickers would be used ahead of Fazio,
so shouldnt make us short in any way.

Wow!! So, because he trained twice as hard, according to him, he should've seen more game time? I wonder why he can't simply accept that it was blatantly obvious that the game in the PL is just too quick for him?

I guess he's just trying to ensure that there's no way he'll be welcomed back (by Poch) , thus believing he'll get a move away easier. Silly bugger!

He was always a stop-gap, brought in purely because we couldn't get Musacchio and he was fairly cheap. It was an odd transfer, but ultimately it allowed us to go after Alderweireld so I won't complain too much.

Sent off on his Sevilla debut too. Probably a non-sporting reason for that though...

We should have just kept Daws then. Would have got his 10 year as well.

Signing that Lurch looking twat and mugging off Daws was one of the worst things we've ever done

Dawson had become a liability but signing Fazio was moronic as he was a younger and even slower clone of a broken Dawson.
