Federico Fazio is still a Tottenham player. Have Pochettino persuaded his countryman to come back and fight for his place?

Roma could buy him for £3m but nothing is confirmed from Spurs or Roma yet..

I imagine we will keep him until the Wimmer transfer and any incoming player is resolved. I think he showed that he isn't up to the pace of the league in a back 4 because his lack of pace was highlighted but I think he could be useful in the 3-4-2-1 system

I think there are a few other clubs in Italy interested - Inter, Milan. Levy maybe trying to raise the price.

Wasn't he a top performer last season? If so I'd be surprised if Roma didn't take up the option on him.

Spurs ALLWAYS confirm deals. If they (Fazio and N´Jie) are done deals, why do they not confirm them on the website? Marseille and Roma haven´t confirmed it either..

I'd forgotten all about him as other than winding up Costa or was it Torres? I don't remember him doing anything except scare the living shit out of me anytime Spurs were caught on the counter, i've witnessed comatose three toed sloths move faster!

People always thought (wrongly) that Corluka was slow, Fazio looked like he was taking the piss TBH

He was good when paired with Vertonghen for ten games in a row, gave him a bit stability.
Was Dembele's return to the team as well, in a no 10 role.
Most of the time it was new partner every week, Chiriches ...

Was giant at Sevilla, and one of the best defenders anywhere last season at Roma.
Clearly good enough for us, but perhaps not suited for the style.

Anyway, I think he's sold, just official site that's not doing their job recently.
Reckon both Fazio and Clinton got their buy out clauses activated july 1st or the monday after.

He was really disliked on here for a while, but I don't remember him doing much wrong. Other than the time he tried to dribble to ball out, got tackled and then the other team (might have even been Arsenal) went and scored.

He's a good defender, reckon he would have done well in a back 3 as well.

he gave away three pens and got two red cards in his first dozen or so appearances for us. or maybe it was three red cards and two pens. in any case, it wasnt pretty.

He was new to the league, got thrown in, not a settled defence, and no protection in front of him.

Playing centrally in a back 3, he may be better suited? Irrelevant, I think he'll be in Serie A at one one club or another next year.

Could have been Arsenal as well but the most egregious/foolish one was 4-1 up on the Chavs and he tries to 'Riquelme' up the gut of their midfield. Dispossession ensued and fucking Hazard scored on us again. Got real nervy for a few before Chadders settled it.

Edit: I really liked the Faz. He was and still is a good player. But like Daws he is unsuited to a high line. WBA missed a trick for 5M. He would have been wonderful for a low block team.
