@Grey Fox turns out to be the Hans Christian Andersen - or possibly even Danny Kaye - of Spurs Community...

He told us that all of our ducks were in a row and, lo and behold, one of them turns out to be a beautiful Swan.

Welcome Fernando. I trust you'll do the Chicken Badge proud.

That must at least be pleasing!

Well sure, it's an upgrade but I still hope we sign a forward with pace who can beat a man that's good enough to start most games for us. Far more important than backup striker IMHO

This is a better signing than a lot of people are giving credit for.

Scored goals all his career in 3 different leagues experienced, holds the ball up really well strong and a good header of the ball, not to mention he's a natural goal scorer something we have not had other than Kane in years.

He will be a great asset from the bench, in cup games, especially champions league, more importantly someone that can come in when Kane's injured for a month or two, needs a breather or maybe even as a partnership when we need a goal.

Sadly for VJ it is curtains but he's a player that can score a dozen goals for us this season

I can't see how he'll be anything other than an asset for us. An eye for goal and great in the air. A brilliant option late in a game or if we need to switch tactics:

Poch will have the confidence to use Llorente off the bench, which he never demonstrated with Janssen.

Llorente is proven at the top level, and the type of signing that Levy has traditionally never contemplated, let alone sealed. Davids and Naybet both brought veteran experience, but they didn't cost north of £12 million.

The window wasn't perfect, but our squad is stronger now than at the end of last season.

Despite the photo, I suppose this could still be down to whether the Bony medical works out OK... Should rule out Chelsea, though
