Also need to think about Llorente's effect on our dressing room and what the others, Harry included, could learn from him. This guy has won Serie A and the World Cup.

great point. that experience in the dressing room from a proven winner could be extremely valuable.

still hope we sign a quick wide player tho!!

Llorente reminds me of our crouch type signing. Will help us a lot when we
play in the Champions League. A great experienced signing if it happens.

I like Jacobs but you can tell that he is absolutely furious.
So true, thats what will make it even sweeter, he's so fucked off about Chelsea's activity i feel its coming to a head!
Hes funny, but irritatingly entitled when it comes to Chelsea and football in general.

Llorente would be amazing - we've been crying out for someone with experience to be an influence in the dressing room, for a different type of striker, for someone to get on the end of crosses (Kane is limited in the air), for someone who can come off the bench, give the opposition different things to worry about, and get a goal when we need it.

Would be a great signing, shame we didn't make it two years ago.

I may be biased but Hawksbee is definitely the funnier of the two. When he's on holiday I don't bother listening.

Shame it wasn't 4 years ago before he went to Juve. I'm sure we were linked at the time?

From the Guardian:

Sky are reporting that Swansea will not allow Fernando Llorente to leave the club for Tottenham until Wilfried Bony has passed his medical, which he is due to complete early evening. Seems like a smart play from the Welsh club, who simply cannot afford not to have one of those players at the club comes the window’s close.

All that does is put a delay on the contract signing, nothing more.
Not like they will have prevented him from travelling to have his medical with us and negotiate the terms.
Besides which, because we have proof of the deal being underway, we technically have until after 11pm to complete it.

I think this is a really good move. An experienced, proven top goalscorer who will be prepared to play second fiddle to Kane. Clearly no young real quality striker is just going to be content with sitting on the bench. Indeed of they are then you have to question why
