Bats has gone to Dortmund according to BBC....

Kristof Terreur is reporting that Dortmund and MB have agreed personal terms and a loan has been agreed with Chelsea with a medical planned today.

In all likelihood he goes to BVB for rest of the season.

We should seriously consider trying to sign him in the summer IMO.

Equally though.....just been reported on SSN that Arsenal and Chelsea are having difficulties in negotiations for Giroud so fuck knows.

Any striker who signs for us in the next 10 years is going to be backup for Kane, so if he rejected us now, he’ll reject us in the summer.

L'Equipe reporting this morning that we were still pursuing a swap deal for Batman and Nando late yesterday evening.

Seems highly unlikely but you never know, maybe Chelsea would prefer Nando over Giroud and it might mean that the latter would go to Dortmund instead of MB if we can convince him to come to Spurs.

Very much doubt it though.
Unless it's because of holdup on Giroud I am not sure why L'Equipe would have any inside track on a deal between us and Chelsea for Bats. Seems like everyone is saying he's off to Dortmund to finalize a loan.

I think with Batshuayi now off to Dortmund that's us done for the day (once Moura is officially announced).

Can't really see anything else happening at this stage.

I do agree to an extent but then we have to have striker cover do we not? It would be down to Poch to try and find ways to convince that player he'd get game time like he no doubt would have done with Llorente.

It may not end up being Batshuayi but at some stage we have to be like the other top clubs and have real strength coming off our bench. We're so lucky to have Kane but he gets injured and we need a viable backup/rotation option if we're ever going to challenge for the big trophies.

Yes which is why we need a striker than can also play another position, so he'd get game time.

I agree that I can’t see anything else happening but it doesn’t tie in with Hercs ITK from the past week or so. Llorente was staying and we were actively pushing for 2 deals for this window. Now Llorente is available and the incoming is subject to him leaving? I’m also confused over if option 1 didn’t come off then we’ve an alternative lined up? Are we to assume that’s gone tits up too?

One was Moura, the other is 70/30 against so I think we're done.

I think we were trying for 2 attacking players, and if we'd got them we'd have let Llorente go.

I suspect we were always ready to let Llorente go if we brought in 2.

Has Llorente been linked to anyone other than Chelsea?
No. Imo he was never going, people overreacting. I admit I was excited about the idea of bringing someone more suitable behind Kane, but guess it's better to leave for summer.
