I wouldn't worry too much about this one, media linking them with Crouch now. That's Carroll, Llorente and Crouch in the space of a week.

Shed End forum must be hive of optimism for the future
Their alleged list of targets tells us all we need to know about Conte's future I would say.

Amazing that we’ve not seen Troy Deeney and Wili Bony on the list of bench warming strikers they’re after.

I would suggest that this puts into context the true value of having Llorente. He may not be a game changer, but he is a high quality number 9 who is willing to play second fiddle to a great striker and step in when he’s actually needed. We need to judge him by the same yardstick as Vorm, at least as long as we play a one striker system.

It’s far better than having an up and coming striker get frustrated and waste his talent, which is what happened to Janssen last year, is still happening to Batshuayi and we’ve seen countless times since one striker became the norm. Take someone like Giroud, he’s been half decent for Arsenal but imagine if he’d been first choice at an Everton or Southampton or even Stoke for the past half decade? I imagine he’d have scored 20+ in the league several times.

Llorente is a nice guy but he has been a flop of a signing. Just too slow.

Chelsea are desparate for a tall striker. We should cash in on their stupid urgency especially if they agree to release Batshuayi to us as part of a swap deal.

For those thinking why would we strengthen a rival. I think the shoes on the other foot. Chelsea are strengthing us.

Batshuayi is fast, young and far more suited to playing Pochettino uptempo game style.

Llorente has probably got 1.5 seasons left in his career. He is close to done.

They have Morata and Batshuayi so why are they being linked with all these odd centre forward targets?

I assume because they are desperate for an aeriel threat without having to spend much money.

Morata is really shit. As for Batshuayi, is because Conte is really shit.

Is he?

I thought he’d been doing quite well for them and his goal scoring record is decent (although try to ignore Chelsea when possible so not been taking too much notice).

He has done ok, considering it is his first season as well. The thing for me is Chelsea have relied on raw power up top for so long, they are struggling as a club to adapt to having to play a different way. I see the Mail are now linking them to Benteke as well now.:D

Llorente for me is clearly the best of that bunch, if they play to his strengths.

He's a good player going through a very bad patch. Probably won't be as good as Costa or Drogba though.

First season for Morata can't be overlooked - he wouldn't be the first player to take some time to adapt
