Chelsea obviously don't think so if they're trying to orchestrate a swap deal.

I've never been impressed by Batshuayi, at least in a Chelsea shirt, and would much rather we try to get one or two of their top youth prospects if we deal with them at all.
Yeah I don't think he's great but then again I don't think we need anyone great.

There's a player in him somewhere, and he has scored a few goals in the limited minutes he's been given. He is still only 24 and remember he was initially Pochettino's preferred choice over Janssen. Loftus Cheek I would take also but that one would have to be done in the summer.

To give this a thread. Really? Well I suppose the rules state so. Even if someone offered 20m for him, we won’t sell. Really popular amongst the squad.

Suprised they don't go for giroud.
Giroud. He's a bit of a mystery. Why doesn't he want a move?
He must just be on such massive wages that no one else will pay him similar so he's happy getting splinters in his bum and making Wenger look an even bigger twat by coming on with 15min left and continually digging them out of the shit.
Think he'd want to play football though wouldn't ya.
Wenger obviously doesn't rate him which is bizarre.

I’ve been disappointed in Llorente but I think in his defence (a) he arrived unfit (certainly by Poch standards) and (b) when he is on we don’t seem to play to his strengths - ie crossing it in early.

That said I watched Chelsea v Norwich last night. Bats scored but he was awful, couldn’t even hold the ball up.

As a back up striker I liked the look of Olivera from Norwich, tall strong and good technique and think he rates highly in chances created too. Looks like he could do a job (but could also be a Rasiak!)

Llorente is quality, we haven’t used him to his strengths and not given him match time at the right time. Southampton at home was a prefect for him to come on with 30mins to go.

Don't see any good reasons to categorically criticise Llorente. I'm fairly pleased in fact with him. I'd just like to see a slight change in our play when he comes on.

Llorente in many ways harps back to Sergei Rebrov, continually lambasted for being a flop and shite. But spurs at the time kept hoofing long high balls to a talented midget, he needed the ball at his feet. Like Llorente needs it up in the air etc.

Anyway, dunno what my point is. Bring back Sergei or play to your strikers strengths? Or see that Llorente, whilst missing a few sitters has played some steady clever football when he' come on.

Don't want to see him in a Chelsea shirt either. No siree.

I wouldn't worry too much about this one, media linking them with Crouch now. That's Carroll, Llorente and Crouch in the space of a week.

Shed End forum must be hive of optimism for the future
