It completely baffles me why so many spurs fans don't like Lee - at worst he's a competent left back - I think he's better than that - but the stick he gets is bewildering

As for the ridiculous vendetta against JJ from some - well I simply despair about that
It should also be remembered that Lee is actually a right back, he's playing out of position because Chimbonda has the right back spot. I'd be tempted to try a defence of:
LB: Bale
CB: Dawson
CB: Chimbonda
RB: Lee

As for Jenas, I just don't think he does enough. I find him frustrating because I think he has the potential to be decent, he just doesn't do it.

It was 2-0...!!!!

LOL

Went to the game last night and there are a few things I have to voice:

Firstly - What the hell is wrong with Ramos playing zokora when he is clearly our weakest link. Constantly out of position - Constantly giving the ball away and running round like a headless chicken... The positioning annoyed me the most though because when he was running around like an idiot on the left wing Jenas had to cover him time and time again in the middle. Jenas is not a holding midfielder and he plays best when he is in and around the opponents box.

Steed played well. Good passing and running. Great back post corner for the second goal.

Lennon is looking better with each game. Confidence is growing.

Lee looked good as usual. Sturdy at the back.

Chimbonda was man of the match for me. He played brilliantly at right back and then deputised fantastically for the inept performance of Kaboul...

Dawson has obviously been told hes gonna be dropped unless he pulls his socks up, as he had a fairly decent game, made some good interceptions and kept the ball on the floor with his forward passes..

(I know!)

Jenas played well once Tainio came on and covered him and zokora. Gave him a chance to get forward and cause problems for their defence... He needs to play alongside huddlestone or tainio to play well.. NOT ZOKORA!!

Berbatov looked great as usual for about 50 minutes or so... After that he got lazy and annoyed by the rest of the squad. Great header on for the (Route 1) goal by Keane.

Keane was class right until he came off to a standing ovation... What a legend. Brilliant feet, brilliant passing game, great goal and brilliant team work up front with berba. Def our first choice in the team.

Robinson did pretty well for his first game back from injury. I thought he looked like he has had a chance to relax a little and get the demons out of the way. Until he spilled a shot near the end and everyone in the crowd held thier breath for about ten seconds...

Tainio came on and did a great job covering the right back position. Helped with cover for lennon and covered the centre so Jenas could get forward.

kaboul looked really shaky from the start when it came to defending. made a few galring errors which werent helped by the pointless Zokora. He made one good run which looked like we could have scored from but that was it and he deserved to come off. Yellow card or not.

Defoe had one good shot on goal.. That was it!

bent didnt even get that... He looked like he is rock bottom with confidence though and when he got the ball in front of goal he passed every time. AT charlton he would have shot every time as the lone striker and the big man!! Come on Darren we all know what your capable of and you could get at least 10-15 goals this season if you are played correctly...

We were lucky to win really considering how many chance blackpool had but at least we can see that ramos is happy to try something different and not make subs on the 80th minute... (60 minutes first sub. Nice)

Come on you spurs! Hopefully next game he will drop zokora and play huddlestone... We will have Bale back and hopefully we will have gardener back... Fingers crossed...

KABOUL SHOULD NEVER START AS A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER!! why do people persist with this idea... If he really could play there well don't you think one of the fucking coaching staff at Spurs would have suggested it to the manager...

maybe they have but the fact that Daws and Kaboul are our only fit recognised CB's may have something to do with it....

Kaboul would be a damn site better at DM than at CB at the moment. He doesn't seem to want to defend, which is pretty essential for a Centre Back! I think he's been a liability this season, but with our injuries, we have little choice but to play him there.

He will turn out to be a quality player, I'm sure of it, but he needs to learn that he is first and foremost a defender.

I'd be tempted to drop him for Boro, stick Chimbo at CB and bring solid Salty back at RB.

I wouldn't say Chimbonda was man of the match. But surprisingly he did look better as a centre-half than a right back. Which is strangely interesting. He completely lost his man at the back post. Again! But as a CB ...

Erm:stupid: no, you're wrong. Lee is a left back, has been for many seasons, and at PSV, he can play RB if needed, but he is a LB. Check facts, then type

Lee certainly is a LB and a good one - as a right back he's not very good (to put it kindly) on the evidence of his performances there for Spurs

Salty Chimbonda Daws Lee for me at mo

unless someone like Mills is seen as good enough

We will never be a successful team until we get rid of the arseholes, they really can't be called fans or supporters of the club, when they consistently demoralise our players!
They may as well go and support Arsenal because they are fucking useless to us!

He played Zokora??? what a bastard, what is wrong with him? sack him now!!!

Come on guys it's his first game and he has to see people play to judge them for himself we can't start complaining about his team selection on his first game.

Hi, went to my 2nd game in 4 days wednesday (saw blackburn at home) and i gotta saw dawson was better, chimbonda at cb was better, though the header against the bar was his mistake as he shudn't of lost his man.

And Robinson was much better, great to see him back having fun with the crowd (stand up if u hate arsenal lol) and he made a great save. I met his tax adviser in waterloo after the game (seemed like a good chap and had some good comments on him, mite have been pulling my leg)

oh and last thing...could we please stop the damn negativity directed at OUR team, we should support them, im sick of hearing fans slag off our players when certain ones have the ball, support your spurs!

Good post!

Zokora

3 goals in his whole professional career and we paid 8.2million for him....

No offence mate but you ought to change this sig because it makes your sound like a moron. Robinson has scored more goals that Buffon so he is better? JJ scored more than Fabregas last year so he is better too. Zokora's job isn't to score goals.

One thing i noticed different was under Jol there was only the strikers in the box when the ball was wide which showed a real lack of attacking intent. Under Ramos i noticed when the ball was in wide areas we had the front boys..the winger on the opposite side on the 6 yard box attacking back post...havent seen us doing that for years and should be worked on for back post tap ins from overhit crosses.
