At the moment we have only been linked with players that are in the Brazil squad, I cant see and names in the other teams that we might be after

Anyway, who is your tip to win, or just a player to keep an eye on?

Can't really see past Tahiti.

Genuinely though I think the team with the fewest of their stars in the major European leagues will do well, as the European based players must be knackered. Might play into the hands of someone like Mexico, although Brazil have quite a few home-grown players as well so that might help them.

My money is on Uruguay! Suarez will play an absolute stormer of a tournament and Perez will pay oodles of money after the tournament to take him to Real Madrid !!;);)

Mexico do always have a nack of doing well in these tournaments. Not sure if we are seeing more of their players across in Europe now.
Also i think i remember reading something about Brazil picking squads depending on what stages diffrent league are at. So some time European based players wont be included as much.

It will be a fight from cavani and Suarez for the Madrid move and isn't Suarez due a suspension

Looking forward to this.

Uruguay and Mexico struggling a bit in their world cup qualifying groups of late so not sure how they'll do, il plump for Brazil to win on home soil.

Will be keeping an eye out for Baldini in the crowd too :)

Japan to throw up a surprise by coming 2nd in their group. Can't look beyond Spain to win the thing.

Cheers for posting that CV, I came in this thread with the sole purpose of asking where we could watch this.

I think I'm going to stick £50 on Steevy Chong Hue of Tahiti to be top scorer.

A lot of people dismiss this tournament. But to be honest, nobody is afraid to lose it, so it can lead to an entertaining tournament. And 7 of the 8 teams could strongly be argued to be teams that could be in the final 8 of the WC next year.

I think its going to be much like the last Confed's......entertaining.

Mexico needs a good showing or their fans are going to completely turn on them. They've had three 0-0 draws at home at Azteca, which I would argue may be the world's largest home field advantage short of maybe Bolivia.

Really looking forward to this, except for Spain vs Tahiti which will be incredibly one-sided.

I read yesterday that all the Tahiti players are amateur and one of them picks and collects coconuts for a living.

Japan to beat Brasil 2nite, Japan v Spain final.
Has to be the worst Brasil side I can remember, not a chance of them winning a world cup with clowns who can't defend in Alves, Luiz & Marcello in back 4

I'm quite looking forward to this too. Unfortunately, I have a family meal to go to so perhaps, if I'm lucky, I can catch it on iPlayer when I get back.

URGHHH

As I have DishTV from India I have annoying Indian coverage. It's like Football for Beginners. They've just explained the whole premise of the Confederations Cup starting with 'why are these teams from all over the world playing this tournament?'

So... what's this World Cup business then?!

SHUT UP, show the game and SHUT UP.
