It can't be as bad as my record at away european games. Been twice, seen us lose twice, aggregate score 7-1
The only games I can think of that give that aggregate loss would be Dortmund in 2016 and Inter in 2013? If it does include that Inter game, at least you saw us qualify!

Bang on...

True I did see us qualify. I did enjoy the rendition of "we win when we lose" afterwards though.

1. Kane to be top scorer again (a pretty unremarkable first prediction).
2. Winks to make the World Cup preliminary squad but not taken in the 23 as Southgate would rather take Wilshere instead (who wouldn't bet on it!).
3. Lamela won't play this side of Christmas.
4. We will draw a tough group in the champions league but get through to the knockout stages against all odds.
5. At the start of the season all the pundits will yet again not predict us to finish top four but we will.

I don’t get much right, but glad I was with number 5!

1. We have another slow start through injuries and Wembley factor. Press talk of crisis etc.
2. We really kick on post Christmas with a fully fit squad and make CL for third season in a row
3. We win League Cup, beating Man City 3-2 in thrilling final.
4. Chelsea in transitional season with rumblings of discontent and Conte walks out after mutual consent deal with Abramovich. Speculation of Pochettino going to Chelsea starts to surface, but Levy nips it in the bud.
5. Winks starts to establish himself, albeit not an automatic starter, and gets into England squad. Edwards dazzles in cameo appearances and gets hyped up by media.
3 out of 5 isn't bad, and probably wishful thinking on the cup final. Could be 4 out of 5 soon as doubt whether Conte will be there much longer.

.
1) Kane will score at least 40 goals in all competitions.
2) Tottenham will finish in the Top 4, but won't make a serious challenge for the title.
3) We will be eliminated in the Champions League group stage.
4) We will visibly see thousands of empty seats at Wembley on a regular basis.
5) Sissoko will score a goal. For us. Against Newcastle.
Need a couple more Kane goals for 3/5... pleased to have been wrong about the Champions League though!

1. 3 more academy players will make their competitive debuts (Likely to be from Walker-Peters, McGee, Sterling, Oakley-Boothe, Shashoua)

2. We will actually settle at Wembley quite well, and our home record won't be much worse than recent years at White Hart Lane (with the exception of last season's incredible form).

3. We will WIN a European away game that I go to :eek: (I'm currently at 0 wins, 1 draw, 8 losses for European away days).

4. Kane will not quite reach the heights of the last couple of seasons, but will still of course be a very good striker (18 league goals, 25 in all coms).

5. Despite spending all this money, Everton will still finish 6th.
Not bad!

Not bad this one ^

1) We will struggle to make top 4
2) Playing home at Wembley will turn out to be a blessing
3) Selling Walker to Man City will come back to haunt us
4) We will reach the knock out stages of the CL
5) Trophyless again
4 out of 5 is not that bad!

Which one you not giving him?
Bah ... finishing 3rd doesn't indicate that reaching top 4 was "a struggle", playing at Wembley was not "a blessing" and selling Walker didn't really "haunt" us (depends on the eye I suppose). Not that I should talk, I didn't even post in this thread. I suppose if I were a spin doctor, I'd say that was symptomatic for the season. No bold predictions because the season was never going to be bold.

On the assumption he’s discounting his first point, that getting top 4 would be a struggle... I’m not having that playing at Wembley was a ‘blessing’. We’ve done well to get through it the way we have, but I believe we’d have pushed Utd closer had we been at the Lane.

Top 4 was tight, it went down to second last game. I agree, that’s the one I’d say isn’t on, but you could argue it.

I took the playing at Wembley to mean it wouldn’t be the curse many thought, which it wasn’t. Borderline.

Walker bolstered City to finish above us, after we finished above them last season. I think that’s a fair one.
