whats wrong with that....loving the idea of ripping into the bin-dippers first game at the new ground.

True, although I was hoping we would be ripping into Southampton and winning 10-0! Part of me was also hoping for a London derby.
Should be a great game and great atmosphere, though.

Anyone consider that we open the new stadium by beating Liverpool?

And keeping a clean sheet?

How did they do at Wembley last season?

Some people on here are never happy. Levy has done a superb job in negotiating this with the PL. We truly have the best chairman in the league.

I don’t care what people say about the rivalry between us and Liverpool being fake or pathetic or whatever, we can’t lose our first game in the new stadium to those ****s

Theyre refunding 1/19th of ST price to our eticketing accounts, for us to then choose wether to keep it in there as credit or use it to attend Fulham at Wembley. What a piss take. How about they refund 1/19th of the ST price and make the game a freebie!

On one hand, what an occasion the Liverpool game will be. The noise should be incredible. On the other, yeah, would have been nice to have got a Huddersfield or Cardiff and roll them over simply.

But you know, you can't have "To Dare Is To Do" clad to the side of your stadium in big one ton letters and be fearful of occasions like this.

Only two home games in our opening 7. Wonder if that why we have opted for that one game at wembley. Perhaps Poch felt we rather have one 'home' game in that run instead of 1 in 7. Slow starters and all that.

Hearing that it was Poch's decision to play at Wembley rather than away make sense. As others have said, we've waited this long, one more game away from our home isn't going to hurt.

I don't think that should be Poch's decision given the amount that some fans are paying for season tickets. I think this season will be another transition season as we get used to the new place so I'm sure one more away fixture wouldn't have been too bad. Now the club will have to sort out tickets at Wembley and stuff...a logistical nightmare and poor for PR imo too.

Season ticket holders are getting a refund for the Wembley game
