I've tried a few synthetic boots now and I honestly can't get on with them. I simply can't strike the ball with the same power and control as I can with K-leather. And when you're pinging top bins like me all the time, that's really a deal breaker... :D

Yeah the touch, ball striking and general comfort just isn’t the same. I flit between a pair of tech craft leather Vapor 10’s and my tiempo 9’s. Once you have a good pair of leather boots you just can’t wear synthetic ones again

They've relaid the pitches at my Goals centre with proper 4G artificial grass, and last night I was slipping about in my astro's. Simply can't get the speed of turn or reactions, so I've plumped for essentially the same boot, only with FG/AG studs. Hence these classics. You simply can't go wring with a proper K-Leather boot.

A thread for recommending and discussing football boots, or even just sharing your favourites from now and down the years.

For a year now I have been playing 5 and 7 aside at a Goals centre, exclusively on 4G pitches. Up until now I have been wearing my old Puma King astroturf boots, which are more like trainers and are really designed for the old sandy astroturf pitches. My concern is that these are starting to impact my ankles and knees because they don't really have the proper purchase on a 4G pitch, and just flatten the turf rather than go into it.

For those who play regular, do you use firm ground or the more common artifical grass type boot, and how do you find it? I have my old pair of Adidas 11pro firm ground boots, which I haven't used for about 7 or 8 years, but I'm concerned that I'll do my ankle in those if they're too large a stud.

Any recommendations or thoughts appreciated!
Coppa mondials Moulds
Can’t beat them .
get a size down - will fit like slippers .
The problem with the puma trainers is the arch is too high - which impacts on your calf’s and ankles ect .

Yeah, I found with the Mundial Team's that I needed a half size down. Done the same with the Mundials.

Despite getting those mundials back in the summer, I've found myself back in my 10 year old 11pro's, as they're soooo comfortable.

And as if on cue:

I recently ordered, and subsequently returned, a pair of Mizuno Morelia's. Its the second pair of MIzuno's I've tried and both have felt too thin, too tight and too uncomfortable. The tongue is also really wide and just doesn't give you a striking area. And yet Mizuno's have this rep for being the best you can get. Has anyone else tried MIzuno's? Is their rep just a result of paid influencer hype? Because in every instance I've experienced, Adidas boots are significantly superior.

I had pretty much the same issue with a pair of Mizuno Morelia DNA’s. One boot felt fine and the other felt too tight around the knuckle of my little and big toe as if it was defected compared to the other boot. All their boots are hand made with incredible materials though, I was impressed with the quality of the product, i just had problems with the fit in the same way it sounds like you did. I don’t think the hype around their boots is undeserved tbh because they are rated number 1 by most boot reviewers and it’s not like Mizuno have the funds to out pay the bigger brands to market their boots. If you’re looking for some extremely comfortable leather boots I’d recommend the Tiempo legend 10 elite’s. I’ve had them for 2 years and they are the best boots I think I’ve owned for years.

After trying many boots, mostly bought second hand from ebay, my daughter now has two pairs of Nike Tiempos. She mostly plays on the 4g at AFC Stoneham in the FG pair but has a SG pair for any games on grass.
