Easy, don't support Newcastle

Haha, true. Although you would have thought that after all the bad press the club have had over the last few months, doing something like this although maybe making sense for footballing reasons, just shows how heartless the game is.

I believe he'd already told them he wished to return home, much as i'd love to slap NUFC with a week old Spanish mackerel, i believe this was agreed ages ago, IMBW

Yep.

Well no. But a little extension wouldn't of gone amiss. (As you can tell, not much thought really went into it)

The only people in football who have a soul are the supporters of whatever club they saddle themselves with at junior school...

Whilst he clearly has affinity for the fans he seems to have no time whatsoever for the upper management, good interview from earlier in the year Here.

The article mentions Adam Campbell being released, I thought he was highly rated?

well not according to his tweet quoted in that article.

I'll be honest i never clicked on the link (fucking hate the Daily Heil and refuse to go on their website) i was going off of what the commentary was saying during his last game, the way he celebrated his goal and the way Shearer was discussing him on MoTD.

All implied it was widely known that it was his last appearance for NUFC and that he'd been wanting to go home for quite a while.

Ryan Taylor was released from NUFC by telephone before being told to pass his mobile to Jonas Gutierrez so he could be delivered same news.

The Guardian podcast mentioned this recently. The relationship with the Newcastle hierarchy broke down during his illness and he did not want to stay anyway. So perhaps less "released by Newcastle" and more "would not consider staying with Newcastle".

I read the last few posts on this thread earlier and thought that the Ryan Taylor and Johan Guiterrez information may be exaggerated. However, BBC and sky sports are reporting it now;

A little part of me feels sorry for John Carver but the majority of me thinks he should think carefully about his morals and less about his wallet if he's going to continue to have a career in football because Mike Ashley will sack him eventually and people will remember these news stories.

I hope Mike Ashley has some good bodyguards and security. The way he's doing things I wouldn't be surprised if there's an "incident".
