No offence but I find views like this really strange.

Any forum is going to encourage a huge amount of discussion. The function of a forum allows us to get our geek on and discuss all issues regardless of size.

It would be pretty dull and monotone if we all just discussed the same massive issues over and over.

No one is saying half and half scarves are the biggest problem in football but is becoming part of the game and a forum seems the normal place to discuss this.
Exactly, its not about what the scarves are, its what they symbolise.

We've sold our soul now, the point of no return was passed when the old girl was pulled down. Only a couple of seasons ago I saw one of these scarves get ripped away from a shocked tourists neck (vs City) and that was in Paxton lower, bloke probably would've been hung if he was in Park Lane...part of me felt sorry for the bloke, but a small part of me was very pleased this happened , I know that sounds awful.
It's no longer a semi religious experience for families and mates, it's now an afternoons entertainment for tourists to drop £200 on replica gear and snap selfies and film the match on their mobiles...I can't help but feel that anyone thinking 'it'll be all better when we get back to the lane' will be in for a nasty shock.
But this is what we all wanted right?
Still is for me - regardless of the tourists...

Eh?

Whats odd about my view? That I think the half and half carves are not the worst thing about the modern game?

Not that it'd be worth going to watch... I think King's Lynn might have had a brief foray into the Conference North or South a few years ago but nothing since.

Southern premier league. A surprisingly decent level of football.

Our washing machine man loves Dulwich Hamlet. Like the blue and pink kit. Might get one of their scarves.

Hell yes they are bad but way way way down the list on things that are not great.
We don't have to go to the extremes though. The scarves were part of the day on Sunday. The part for me was when I looked at the seller in disgust.

The post I responded to stated "With all what's going on with with football, half and half scarves are your issue?"

So you seemed to be saying half and half scarves are a small problem and other issues should be discussed.

None were official though, right? They were from those skanky stands. The club wouldn't do it, at least not in the Prem! The ones I saw all said either TOTTENHA9 vs CHELS (had no idea why that was until I learned the Wembley postcode area is HA9) or TOTTEN17 vs CHELS.

I hate the whole premise, but in this case, apart from both looking shit and my inability to understand (even under copyright rules) why someone can't write 'Tottenham vs Chelsea', totally niggles at a little part of my brain that utterly hates anyone, especially Chelsea fans who refer to them as Chels (not least because I once got taken to a game at Stamford Bridge, had to sit on my hands amongst the home fans and the bloke behind me repeatedly shouted 'Come on Chels' regardless of what was going on on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes).

That's because they are Chelsea fans, and we all know Chelsea fans can't say anything with more than 1 syllable in the word.

It's done. Gone. Finished. Football has changed for a new type of fan now.

and I hate it.

At least the people wearing them made it to the stadium to watch the game rather than via their tvs though

If spurs were playing Barcelona in the champions league would it be bad to buy one then?

Ye no problem. I got a ac Milan one on my first and only European away trip. Still have it up in my room.

Spurs and arsenal I assume?
1 Gooner that i know of, mainly Tottenham, West Ham and a few Chelsea....and 1 Millwall.
Theres loads of them, either banning orders or 'retired'...Last match i went to one of them threw his beer at the opponents goalie to put him off, not the glass, just the beer...went all over him,it was pretty funny.
