Stevenage lose their manager - with immediate effect which is less than ideal.

They only have a very theoretical chance of making the playoffs, need to win both games and a huge goal difference swing and hope more results go their way, but the timing is still a bit strange.

Yeah, they've done much better this season than expected, but a manager leaving this close to the end of the season feels a little unnecessary.

Particularly as Rotherham are doomed anyway.

KWP in the Championship Team of the Season...

I got a spare ticket for the recent game against Coventry and he was the one decent Saints player in the first half. Coventry double teamed him in the second half. Scored a great goal and should have been MOTM ahead of Che Adams. Adams, incidentally, is a free agent at the end of the season and Wolves allegedly tried to sign him last summer. Based on what I saw the Championship is definitely his level.

Plymouth 2 nil down away against Stoke. When Phillips and Devine were both on the bench last weekend I thought maybe they'd been rested because there'd been a midweek match before but they're both on the bench again today.

What an opportunity for Ipswich.

Needs 5 points from Hull (A), Coventry (A) & Huddersfield (H) to secure promotion.

Unfortunately that means Leicester are back but I suppose we can help relegate them again next season now

Fantastic result for Ipswich tonight, a Leeds win tonight would have put them four points up on them and really piled the pressure on, Ipswich just need to win two out of their last three for automatic promotion.

Huge for them, my second team. I live in between Ipswich and Norwich and Ipswich is one of only two away grounds I've seen Spurs play at (excluding Wembley). Never felt anything for Norwich but would love to see Ipswich back in the top division.

Aren't they in line for multiple sizable points deduction? They've been trying to weasel out of them for a year now. But now since they are up, they will be hit. Depending on the hit, they might already be relegated without kicking a ball. And with Everton in the gutter financially, they might already be relegated next year too if they go into administration. Could be looking at a battle between Luton/forest, Ipswich, & whoever else comes up battling out 1 relegation slot.

Have to say, as much as I dislike Leicester and him, Jamie Vardy deserves a lot of respect for what he's done at that club. What a signing.
