I don't do the lengthy and time-consuming "On This Day" birthday thread any more but thought I'd just do a birthday thread for footballers of note - including Spurs players past and present.

So ...

Today David Ginola is 41 and the legendary Eusebio is 66. Also, ex-Spur Michael Brown is 31 today. If you know someone I've missed do post it.

Look out for tomorrow's entry for a much respected Spurs legend!

I gathered all the info when I did the "On This Day thread", from various sources so it's not that simple and there is no single link as they all seem to miss out someone. When's your birthday? I'll let you know if a player of any significance shares it.

Bill Nicholson was born on this day, in 1919. RIP to one fine manager and a true legend.

Also, Tony Parks, ex-Spur, is 45 today as is Jose Mourinho.

One worth noting for the future - Kerlon Moura Souza, Cruzeiro EC centre forward.

He is known for his ability to flick the ball up onto his head and run with it during matches. It is known as the seal dribble and is very hard for the defending team to challenge legally. Flicking the ball up from the turf onto his head, Kerlon then proceeds to run past opponents, whilst bouncing the ball on top of his forehead! He is said to have learned the move from his father.

Born January 27th 1988, so still only 19 and he has so far played for Brazil at all National junior levels and won various Best Player awards. No doubt will be in the senior international team before too long.

Born 28 January 1978, Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus and Italian national goalie.

Has won many awards, including the Yashin Award in the 2006 World Cup, and is the kind of keeper we would love to have at WHL.

The legendary Brazilian international striker, Romario (de Souza Faria) was born today in 1966.

Still playing well past 40 as player/manager of Vasco de Gama, the club he began his career with, he was FIFA World Cup Player of the Year in 1994 as well as Golden Ball winner.

It's Berby's birthday today. He's 27.

Also Peter Crouch, born same day, same year.
