Thanks for all the responses. Once I've watched all the online ones I'll have to order some of the DVD's.

Yes, I remember John White very well. A truly great player. He was only slight physically but had a tremendous shot. I remember a goal against Blackburn from outside the box. The ball hit the stanchion in the back of the net and rebounded virtually to the half way line.

I remember the benefit game against the Scottish team which included Law, Gilzean and 'Gentleman Jim' Baxter. White's brother, who I believe played for Raith Rover, played for Spurs in that game.

I remember hearing the new of John White's tragic death as though it was yesterday. It was the last time I cried.

I remember standing open-mouthed and gobsmacked at one game when he took a corner that banana'd straight into the top corner of the goal.
