Going to become very hot property and has been a key component of Atalanta somewhat overachieving this season. Still raw and would no doubt take time to adjust to PL but one worth going for if he continues to improve. I would say tho, it would be pointless to buy him in Jan unless we leave him in Italy till summer. He is greatly benefiting from the amount of playing time he is getting.

For anyone interested here is a pretty decent highlights real which will give you an idea of his skill. As you will be able to tell, physically, for his age he would be well suited to the PL.

Looks pretty slow and laboured. Takes too many touches of the ball also. Would take a lot of time to settle in PL.

I have not seen Onomah have a single game which makes me thinks he will make it at Spurs in the long term...
That's what most people (including me) said about Kane after his first appearances.

Not being a dick, but have you watched more than that video? I have seen him play 10 or so times this year and I just don't see what people see.

Yes he is young. But his ability is all Sissoko/Wanyama when we need more Winks/Eriksen in midfield.

As the poster above said he takes far too many touches and is slow with the ball. Not what we need now or in the future in my book.

Not sure we need another player like this, but I could see Poch absolutely loving this guy.

If Winks was playing over there, hecdoujd br near if not surpass goal figures with higher assist. Guy is not worth it as we have better.

Aye I have, I'm not a Atalanta fan so have only seen him 5 or 6 times so he might have just impressed in the games I have seen. I did also mention he is very raw and in no way the finished article but for a 20 year old I was impressed. I also think that in this day and age there is such a scramble to pick up any young player that has impressed. I guess scoring 5, assisting 2, getting 2 man of he match awards for a 20 year old CM/DM in 15 games is going to get you written about a lot in the press. I really wouldn't be surprised if he goes for big money at the end of the season if he continues to grab the headlines, it's the nature of modern football. also agree he is not what we need tho, I have been saying for ages we really need a creative, thinking AM who can dribble.

Yeah, I respect that then. He isn't the type of midfielder I want. If going for 20 somethings in midfield that are going to cost why not spend big on Dahoud? Way more technical and just as strong in defense.

Point being there is a lot of talent out there. Strength and power are traits we have in abundance and are lacking in the real technicians.

Agree, love Dahoud, also Rubin Neves would be worth a look, although I have only seen him a few times, but looked a prospect. But Poch seems really interested in these more beast like players, not sure why. I also wouldn't be surprised if Poch is starting to think of Dier as more a CD moving forward so is looking for someone to understudy VW who shares a similar skill set.

I do think tho our team is really lacking technical ability across the park for the type of football we are trying to employ, but, bar Isco and Coric, I can't remember the last time we were linked to anyone I was excited about. And now Bruma... hardly inspiring or logical.

Not against this in principle, just bit of a weird target for our current squad.

Not that weird given Poch seems to be leaning towards 3 at the back, and Dembeles fitness struggles leave me thinking if when Wanyama isn't around we would be one short of a physical presence. I'm a huge fan of the Beast, but we need to plan for his succession. We need to take this kind of risk because we don't compete in the market for established high end players.

To think he is being touted at 20m+ and Gundogan went for 20 something.

I know, I know wages are what counts but the point is still valid. 20m for a youth prospect that hasn't shown he can cut it for longer than a half a year is crazy IMO. It would be different if he had the Dembele promise (the Dortmund Dembele) in the CM, but I just don't see it.

And people really need to look at all the CMs out there like our Dembele. He is unique, but he or players like him are notbeing chased after by the elite. He is a very handy player but we should not be looking to replace him with like for like. We need more brains in midfield.

We don't need any more raw talents. Just played who are going to come in and make a pretty immediate impact. Although if you are going to sign them then January isn't a bad time.

Gundogan went for that price because of the serious injury's he's had, highlighted by his latest injury which has put him out for the season.
