Tier 1 for Barca news... De Jong off to PSG, assuming Rabiot off to Barca. Tottenham finally moves on from De Jong and will move on to other targets?

Think it will be more of a case of moving on from Rabiot. Regardless, the fact that the dominoes are beginning to fall is a good sign.

A good rule of thumb for us from now on would be to avoid Barca-PSG player tussles because they're both now going to just buy players each other are interested in just out of spite for each other.

I agree that we'll move on...not so sure about the other targets.

Balague (sorry guys) reckons that De Jong has chosen Barca. De Jong must be fucking loaded at this point as between PSG and Barca this is his 6th signing on fee.

Wonder who the three other targets are?

Fucked if we're competing with either of those two teams.

Ndombele definitely one, has been mentioned multiple times now we won't pay the price.
Three quarters of a transfer budget on one player? I can only see three, maybe four clubs doing that.

That leaves us with two un-named targets and doesn't solve the rest of the glaringly obvious holes we have in this team.

Edit: I thought Rabiot was a Barca player bar holding the shirt up, is this not the case, still?

FWIW, CatRadio (which Reddit regards as Tier 1 for Barcelona news) is also reporting that De Jong has chosen Barca. If true, I wonder what it would mean for Rabiot.

I once again will say I don't see how Ndombele would cost more than Fekir (Lyons Captain & best player 45 mil last summer).

I'm saying my guess is Rabiot was one of the targets.

Well there is a supposed to be a list of players that seems to have been capped at four that he really wants. Most of them seemingly being CM's.

The Werner news came a few days ago (I think) the rest of the links have been to players that because of the club they play for are, for some on here, not of the standard of a team hoping to achieve great things, and for the most part, Poch agrees (it would appear)

Has there been info on 3 targets?
Well that's just it, I keep asking and I have been given two names in N'dombele and Rabiot to go along with De Jong ... Werner was another a few days ago so perhaps those?

Now look at the clubs they are being linked too. I know some view me as a sunshine pumper on here, but fucked if we're going to be able to turn their admiring gazes from those teams who are meant to be courting them, we can hand wring as much as we like, but we just ain't on their level.

Timo, we don’t want to splash circa 70-80% our budget on one player. Interest is/was very, very real. But, we do not have the necessary finances to gamble nearly all on one player.
I’m guessing this one’s dead based on the financials

and that right there is the problem...100mil looks great and shiny, but spread across 3-4 players buys you fuck all in this market.

I hope doesn't mean we think we can get to where we want to be by acting like the transfer market is that of 3y ago.
