I refuse to click on a talksport link but he's probably right. Brad's ALWAYS right.

Tim's PR manner is the worst thing about his management for me. I think he's good enough with the youth to deserve a role in some capacity at the club, now or in the future. But next season we need a pedigree manager and only then will the fans get excited again. I fully expect Moyes though :(

The fans were quite excited on Saturday. I don't really care what comments a manager makes,so long as we are picking up points.

Rogers comment about Chelsea parking two buses was as crass and immature as anything Shewood has said this season

Maybe, but anything anti-Mourinho is probably overdue being said at this point. 'Parking the bus' originated from him about us yet he plays that way against better teams himself, so I was glad to see it pointed out.

It's the hypocrisy of Mourinho - having a go at teams who 'park the bus' (like Spammers did) and then doing the same tactic at Liverpool. I don't have a problem if he accepts teams do it against Chelscum because, invariably, they have the lesser players and, therefore, have to come up with a way of trying to win (or at the least, not lose) the match.

Rogers made a colossal mistake yesterday, because Chelsea needed the win more than Liverpool did. In fact, a draw would have been fine, but he bought into Mourinho's stance that Chelsea weren't bothered.

Brad is spot on. Sadly there is a tendency in the media to relish negative Spurs stories. The only way to stop that tendency is probably to deliver a long spell with positive results and stabile management to change the image of our club. As I recall the tendency diminshed drastically under Redknapp until his tax scandal turned it around. We simply need success, and less talk of achieving it to make the negative stories go away. A big ask some would say!

I hate this whole "park the bus" bull... its tactics. What you don't do is play to your opponents strengths.

Liverpool are a threat because like Bayern Munich they are fast out of the blocks, but equally like Bayern they are easy to frustrate if you play a little deeper and are disciplined.

That doesn't mean you stick 10 men on the line and ignore attacking. In fact Chelsea looked the more likely to score throughout. Very much like the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich game last week.

Do you think Ancelotti gives a toss that Bayern had an unprecedented amount of possession in Madrid's own backyard?

Mourinho did not park the bus, he set his team out to negate the one area of real strength Liverpool have and that pace and dynamic interchanging between the front 3. Stifle that and they are vulnerable to the counter punch.

As for the Mourinho comments, its panto... its all panto. Its soundbytes for the media that we lap up. He and Rogers were chatting and laughing on the sidelines during the game and Mourinho's "celebration" at the win was very much engineered for the travelling fans.

I think the hypocrisy is one of his biggest weapons. He has everyone tied up in knots without a ball being kicked. The man is a genius, an irritating, smug, childish genius.

And I for one am not going to let him have a go on my my new bicycle. He's the sort of kid that will bring it back damaged, with the front forks bent, having hit a parked bus that he didn't see.

Of course, he wants us all talking about him. Its all about Mourinho and that's for a good reason, it detracts from the players.

The guy is brilliant, you don't have to like him, but frankly he is one of the best managers of the modern era.

It's amazing everyone gets caught up in it still. That Willian medical comment was still brutal though, as that was just a dig for no gain.

Come on mate if that wasnt parkin the bus I dont know what is.
I heard they're after a new coach next season to park next to the 2 buses they parked up.
Last time I saw that many buses on a pitch Evel Keneval was jumping over them.
Boom boom lol. (n)
I'll get my coat.
Back to the thread though, I was listening to Brad on TSport and I didnt come away from that feeling he'd 'HIT BACK' at f all.
Sensationalism eh?

But what were they supposed to do? Play open and attacking given they didn't have a full squad available to them and are clearly more focussed on the CL semi.

Parking the bus IS what we did against them, sit back and show no intent to try and score.

Agree on the Brad comment

Not saying whether they should or shouldnt have done anything.
I am saying to state they didnt park the bus is wrong becuse they did.
Were we talking about what we did? Must have missed that bit.
And Chelsea werent trying to score so you contradicted yourself there.
Had Gerrard not slipped over Chelsea would not have been able to keep playing that way as they needed a win.
Id say it was more mis management on Rodgers part, going at them when they only needed a draw, rather than Mourinho being a tactical genius. No slip and no goal, only one point and Chelsea fans asking why they spent most of the game sitting in their own half when they needed a win.
Still, easy to say afterwards.
And what has this got to do with this thread lol?
