No way he is fighting Ward, DeGale is next but I think he will retire!

I speak to my ex trainer next week and will find out then as he is one the guys on the Froch team

Froch will be up for one more big one I'm sure. He hasn't ran from anything in his life and he has a belt so Ward would show IMO. Wait and see I guess.

They are paid to do that, they also are told to be the bad guy and good guy. If they don't nobody buys in to the hype and gets to the level where they have to have fight

I remember the Mayweather Hatton fight was hyped to mega levels - with Mayweather the bad guy, and Hatton the good guy. Mayweather was unbelievably good at making me hate him lol. After the fight...nothing but respect.

There is nothing wrong with walking away otherwise pride will give you long term damage

I agree completely, I would be happy for him to retire, just think he might fancy it. I suspect his team would tell him not to bother as he won't win. Whatever happens he's been excellent for British boxing. Any chance of them doing another super 6?

Froch strikes me as a real gentleman and actually a smart guy.

After the last fight Groves came across as a bit of a punk and for that reason I was rooting for Froch.

In the end, that experience and intelligence came through to the fore.

Great spectacle and advert for the sport.

Waiting on clips if the knockout as I wasn't able to watch this. Love a good knockout! One of my favourites was Fraudley vs Sprott when he was losing all ends up and launched a tank on Sprotts face.

Just shows yer.

I stupidly thought it would be a tear up, but Froch is the best since Eubank. He is fucking awesome. And a boxer. A pugilist.

Age has changed his style but there isn't many 12 stone men in the world that can punch like a heavyweight.

I bet he could beat Haye at Cruiserweight.

Fair play.

The fact that Froch did the bolo punch today, says to me he will retire and not fight DeGale.

The thing with that punch and the reason more people don't do it, is if like carl you aren't light on your feet and more of a brawler the risk is high. Because if you don't land it groves counter punch will knock you out as your body puts all the momentum in to the original punch and potentially forward(in to the counter punch)

The boxers that move around alot and lighter on their feet and box on their toes use it more.

He knew he had Groves number. Groves is less than Degale. But he is a fearsome trainer and has massive self confidence. All a good thing. But he will never be world class.

Froch knew Groves could never win. He could have taken 3 of his best shots and still won.

Thats the difference. He lacks power.

Fair play to him though. And fair play to Hearns for making a fight we all wanted.

Froch could have ended it in 3 imo but the crowd needed more.

There is a difference in world class and euro class.

I get that, and the pantomime is a big part of the sport, but in this Groves took it a little to far for me.

Perfect punch! So quick I almost missed it.

Froch needed it though because Groves was getting stronger and probably would have won on points if it had carried on that way.

Glad. Something about Groves that got right up my nose.

If anyone was ever gonna win that fight it was Froch and just to prove a point to the doubters and shut the arrogant Groves down he decided the best way to do it was BOOM!

KNOCKOUT!

Next please.......
