Fulham have announced that manager Lawrie Sanchez has left the club with immediate effect.

"Ray Lewington and Billy McKinlay will be in charge of the team whilst a search for a permanent replacement takes place," said a club statement.

Sanchez's departure comes just a day after John Collins' sudden resignation as Hibernian boss.

The ex-Fulham and Scotland midfielder's exit sparked a flurry of rumours that he may return to Craven Cottage. More to follow.

Is John Collins really the best they can do? Nice to have an ex-player and he's done well for himself, but there are some very good bosses out of work at the moment, and with Al-Fayed's cash, surely they could have attracted one of them?

Thought Collins was going to the Scotland job...

Don't like this. McLeish did us over in his debut game, got a nasty feeling the new Foolham manager will too.

Is this the year where half the teams fire their manager at some point in the season?
So far, apart from us, Chelsea, Birmingham, Bolton, Fulham, Derby, Wigan have let managers go. Maybe, Middlesboro, Newcastle and Sunderland are a poor run of form away from doing the same?
