Absolutely this. In our studio (TV 2 Norway) we've had Jaqui Oatley, Bianca Westwood, Johanna Frandën (Swedish expert) and a couple of other female guests on our Premier League shows in recent years and they have without exception been knowledgeable, good analysts and good speakers. These women are really paving the way for female pundits and the game and the profession is richer for it.

Jacqui Oatley is really good, I've spoken to her a couple of times and she's a real professional who does her research.

Do you really expect or can see us buying anyone not a dig but rather a curious one.

We need to buy someone but can I see it? I'm unsure at this moment in time. We needed to buy in summer but didn't and winter is more difficult.

I have a feeling Levy will look at Son coming back in 3 weeks, the result today, Poch working miracles & the targets he wants, and decide to keep his wallet in his pocket. This could be a huge mistake.

All of us can see the urgent need for more quality but Levy sees things totally differently. I know it's a business for him but investing on the field (like Scousers), brings more rewards off it.

In contrast we had Ruud Gullit on just before Christmas and he was the worst guest we've had all season. Just launched into uninformed opinions and outdated points of views and contributed nothing in terms of analysis. Just reinforced the point that what is said matters so much more than who says it.

He’s an absolute twat though- was a dick as a young manager and has become even worse as he’s aged. In his head the universe exploded around him and his word is the beginning and end of everything

Bollocks I was calling Alan Smith an Arsenal wanker all through the commentary. The reason I don’t like Alex Scott is not down to her being a woman, it down to her being a biased rubbish pundit.
Didn’t notice rednapp or souness reaction to be honest but why would they be gutted as they both used to play for us and have no ties to Fulham?

I think I have to agree that she can be biased when its Arsenal playing, but today I don't think her being Arsenal made her views biased (although to be fair I didn't see all her screen time). I have to disagree with the rubbish bit because she seems pretty well informed and eloquent whenever I see her. She's not perfect but knows plenty having played at a very high level of the game (albeit the Ladies side). Higher than me and you I suspect.

Anyway, the part of your post that I disagree with the most was calling her the "Arsenal b****". Couldn't you just say biased ex-Arsenal player? And you say your feelings are nothing to do with her being a woman....

He's consistently awful every time I see him.

Well if you believe that they’ve lost their confidence based on today’s result then I’d have to disagree. The reason they are near the foot of the table is not only because we beat them today.

I meant going forward from today.

Fair point calling her a bitch was probably harsh but I stand by the point that I think she a rubbish pundit and certainly biased.
Ask yourself this, would you have taken any notice of my post if I called souness a name? Think not?

Funnily enough I've just been sticking up for Souness in the 'What the pundits are saying' thread! (Souness is a 'secret' fan of us or our style of play at least).

But glad you agree about the b*** comment. The rest, as you say, is your opinion and that's fair enough.

To be fair, I’ve called Martin Keown an Arsenal bitch for years

I think Scott is a decent pundit and she’s fine by me. I’m not a fan of the woman’s game at all either and thinks it’s a terrible standard and gets far too much coverage, so she was always struggling to get me on board!
She’s 100x better than Jamie Redknapp although he had a rare good moment today when discussing Dembele.

I'm sure this point has been made in the 100 (!) previous pages, but:

Mitrovic is one dirty player: Dives, whines, and starts all manner of bust-ups. A right cnut.

I want him at Spurs.

I meant going forward from today.

What I meant is that Fulham are weaker than 18 other teams in the PL, based on their league position, and they have already played both their league games against Huddersfield.

They have to go for wins in all their remaining games this season (not that they will win many ) if they want to have any chance of survival. They cannot depend just on draws to keep them safe.

Today was a home game for them against a weakened Spurs side and when they had the FK in injury time , they should have gone and tried for the winner. That’s why I disagreed with Ranieri’s comment that they should have just played the ball at the corner to wind down the time.

Just as a matter of interest, to all those who went to the match today, did you all stay right till the end or were you half way to the station when Winksy did it for us...?

:sneaky:

When the added time board goes up, I make my way to the exit and stay there till the final whistle. I was one of only a few hundred who was there to witness Lennon’s equaliser in the 4-4 game.

I never leave early. Even if we are well and truly beaten.

Not often we reach 100 pages for a match thread. Usually reserved for a derby or massive cup game. But a January away day at Fulham? Crazeballs.
It looked like we were going to have a terrible result. That always attracts the more sensible and level headed posters to the Match thread...:cautious:
