As good as it was to see an improved performance we need results.

Liverpool looked bereft of ideas on the weekend and their weaker squad might start to see a decline down the table. We need to capitalise.

Utd are picking themselves up a little and Arsenal keep winning.

We need 3 points here even if it involves us having 95% possession, no shots in the area and we score from a Lloris clearance.

Don't want to sound arrogant, with it technically being a derby and fulham will have the new manager effect, still anything less than 3 points would be unacceptable.

It's bordering on a must-win game. If we lose, AVB can probably kiss goodbye to any goodwill gained from the United performance and post-match confrontation with the press.

We have to win this, and the players need to maintain the level of performance shown against United. We've got a great group of players, and if we have any hope of finishing in the top four these games should be our bread and butter.

I think the Sunderland game will be tougher, don't even want to think about us not winning tomorrow night. Fulham really are a poor side. They have some gifted players...Berbatov, Ruiz etc...but as a team they're poor and even with a lifted performance if we play well we should be winning.

Not to underestimate neither the desperateness (is that a word) or the new manager effect, but we should remind ourselves that bar the City result, we've been impressive away this season. Our performances against so called inferiour opponents (Palace, Cardiff, Villa) were dominant and assured. I think this will be the same, and that there shouldn't be any reason to piss ourselves the entire day. Save that for when the kick off is approaching ;)

whoever is selected they need to give their 200% for the win. Nothing short of a win will be accepted whatever Foolham give their 100% effort.

COYS.

Pretty annoying that they will get the new manager boost for this game. Even so we should be looking too dominate and win with style.

The man utd performance was avb feeling the pressure, he needs to show he can keep this little bit of momentum going.

Also as much as it must have been satisfying to have a go at the daily heil journo, it means we have a whole host of them circling like vultures over us. Not exactly what we want.

Also I know there is a huge joke thread on this, but where exactly is rose? We heard some date in september then the last international break or some thing? We really need straight answers on this.

This really, really needs to be a convincing win.

If we start lethargically and lacking purpose again my TV might be flying out the window this time lol.

I love midweek football. I'm really up for this one! A convincing win tonight and I reckon that things will click. We looked better than before against United, so let's build on that.

Duff always seems to have a good game against us. They have 4 ex-Spurs lads all desperate to do us harm (Parker, Taarabt, Bent and Berbatov)...gonna be a toughie!!

That said, we have the quality and need to dominate and kill the game off early.

Anything less than 3 points and the pressure is back on the team especially before another big challenge away at Sunderland on Saturday.

i'm confident of a 2-0. yeah there will be shaky bits but generally we will see continued improvement from the Man game. it won't be blazin football YET, but as long as it represents continued improvement that's all we can ask.

I think we are beginning to see the value of balance again with Lennon providing that outlet (sorry Andros!). Physicality up top (sorry sigster - you can't hold onto it).

Very tough place to go for us at such a shaky time. Sadly I'm not seeing 3 points for us.

But still COYS!
If we can't do a really poor Fulham side then we might as well give up.

While I wouldn't have liked a heavy loss to us to have got Jol the sack, 'new manager syndrome' can be a right fekker. Need to be focused

Really is a pivotal week in our season. No doubt about it, we have to win both these next two games. I'm confident we will do the business...
