Not many of us I'd imagine, but is anyone keeping up with the Championship this year? Dubs are flying it in football, hurling not looking too bad either. Kerry going to be there at the end while Cork will need a big resurrection to come through the back door. Will have to wait and see but the Northern teams could be ok too. Tyrone and Donegal will be tough again.

In the huling, was great for the Dubs vs. Kilkenny, but the Cats will be back for sure. It's hard to see through those two. Can Limerick finally come good?

Who do you fancy to win the football this year?

Personally think they'll come from ulster again this year as I reckon they get a better start from the strength and competition in ulster football. Mayo don't really get any sort of challenge in Connacht these days, Kerry and cork are almost nailed on for Munster and Dublin don't tend to get too much resistance in Leinster. It basically means they all have a good chance of getting to the semis without a real challenge.

I'm from dublin, so a bit biased. we've kicked on tremendously this year. our forward line is the best anywhere. defense relatively weak. the big problem is, as you said, not much competition in the lead up to the important matches. personally i think it will be dublin and tyrone again.

Think it's a year too early for Dublin personally (wife's a dub, I'm a plastic mayo man for my sins) although think they have a shout, as well as Donegal (they have a lot more to come i think) again and can never write off Kerry who were pretty decent again today

Not bad time to be from Dublin though is it? Just gave Galway a good beating in the hurling too- never know you could be on for the double!

yeah, was very impressive. conal keaney is an animal and paul ryan on of the top forwards in the game. dubs for the double? yeah, that'd be ok i guess.

great win by monaghan on sunday. will they be able to lift themselves once again, or will the ulster title be enough for them?

looking at the football:
Meath v Tyrone - should be tyrone here, can't see meath putting it up to them
Cork v Galway - will be a good game, two pretty evenly matched sides. cork methinks
Donegal v Laois - donegal should steamroll here
London v Cavan - should be another really good game. cavan to edge it.

as far as the hurling:
Galway v Clare - will be tight. two good sides who maybe have slipped a bit this year battle for a semi-final spot. clare for me.
Cork v Kilkenny - this will be an absolute cracker. cork didn't look great against limerick. with a bit of a kick up the arse should be back to normal against kilkenny. having the horgan red card rescinded a major bonus. can't see past kilkenny for this one, though i'd love cork to pull it off.

Not really a fan of GAA, but last weekend was great with Killkenny been beaten. Really hope Dublin don't win the Football but I'd like to see them win the Hurling.

Btw, the rant from the guy in the studio today (Don't know his name...the guy from the North) was priceless! I didn't see the incident he was on about, but he was really pissed off about it and just wouldn't let it go.

I Am biased but really want mayo this year, everyone else left (presuming Cavan lose to Kerry) has had plenty of all Ireland wins and have all won recently as well, mayo are just so overdue one :(

I liked to see them win it too. I don't really have a clue if they have a chance or not because I don't really know the how good they are (I think the last time I watched a Mayo match was against Dublin 5-6 years ago!), because, as you say, the others have won it recently.

Sadly Waterford don't look like they are close to winning anything any time soon :-(.

Good old Joe, I seen his rant, he was having a pop at Tyrone's tackling in particular Sean Canavagh who he alleges rugby tackled the opponent to the ground when he was through on goal. Joe I am afraid is one of those panel guys who likes to get noticed (look up his tv rows with Pat Spillane they are classic).

Tyrone for me will be the team to beat I will be over home in Ireland on holiday and will be going to the game. I will expect a close encounter but believe our boys will take it and then win the final.

I'm sorry Max but the Tyrone tactics were beyond a joke, and even you have to admit that two men should have been sent off for punching at half time. Saying that Monaghan ( I live in Castleblayney) didn't play it clever and keep the one man advantage they did have, once it went down to 14 a side only one winner.

Mayo or Dublin for Sam, hopefully Mayo (sorry Dubs).

As for the hurling its hard to choose, Dublin have looked good, years of getting the youth set up right is now bearing fruit. Only Cork are going to stop them I think, if they get past the Rebels, a double could be on the cards.

Think dublin will just edge cork, should be a cracking game and then dublin to beat limerick in the final!
