please accept my apologies for a bit of laziness, as the few lines below have been pinched from the start of last seasons thread by @nicdic (sorry nicdic)

i will also apologize for not going to be able to always post updates as new posts but will update this thread as soon as i can. any way as nicdic said

We usually get one of these going each season, hadn't seen one yet, so here we go...

We compare the match this season with the same match from last season, replacing the relegated clubs with the promoted clubs. Shows us how we're comparing to the same games last season.

made a few changes, though not sure the new set up is allowed @nicdic @Rob

due to fixture rules is the opening thread allowed in that format?

Can the first page or post be "pinned" so that it will always be on the first page throughout the season? I love the idea but got a bit frustrated trying to find for it last season.

that is something you would need to ask those that can do it, i can't pin it, i'm just another poster like yourself, a mod, or admin, or above can do it.

i agree with the frustration finding it though.

This will be interesting as the points tallys maybe lower across the board but teams still in the mix

So as of today are we better off than last season?
no that's last seasons result, hopefully what ever colour i decide to use for W's will appear tomorrow. there will be no r*d text though, i don't like r*d

I was less optimistic at this point last season, which must mean that we are in for a dreadful start.
oh well we're fucked cause for some made reason I'm feeling quite optimistic especially about our 1st 2 games. Liverpool in a match situation have been a bit of a bogey side for a few seasons now, and think there confidence will be high with wins v the Arscum, and Burnley. after that pretty plain sailing till November:whistle:

Is it not +3 on 15/16?

Lost to Utd and drew vs Stoke so had 1pt last year.
i don't like people being right, especially if it means me being wrong (expect it too often)

but thanks anyways now corrected:p
I think you were right the first time, isn't it in comparison with the same games not the same game week? Everton 2015 v Everton 2016 rather than United 15 v Everton 16 So. We drew with Everton away and beat Palace at home both last season and this so we'd be on level points in comparison with the same games last season.

@Lighty64 has kindly done both comparisons.

-15/16 vs Everton and Palace= Same points -15/16 after 2 games= +3 points

unfortunately I was wrong:cry: as mburns7 has stated above, we are level in comparison to our ops last season, but had 1pt after 2, so are 3pts better off not the 4 i think we deserve to be:ROFLMAO:
