The fixture list is copyrighted and hence can't be reproduced without a license. That was the rule for years, recently it's more unclear on what the legal position is but until we hear otherwise that's what we need to follow.

We're not allowed to reproduce a fixture list
Has something changed since last season? The copyright on fixture lists was rejected by the European Court of Justice a few seasons ago now.

Edit: Seen above. Rules have definitely changed, the lists can be published, but suppose it's understandable that you're being safe.

The copyright claim got rejected but last season they were still threatening/pursuing sites that published it and as far as we're aware it's not definitively been concluded yet, hence our *official* position is that people shouldn't be reproducing it on here.

Our official position (when someone asks us and we have to respond...) is that the fixture list should not be reproduced in whole or in part.

Pretty pathetic ain't it? Suppose it keeps the lawyers busy!

This thread used to be a game for game comparison against the same fixture last year - ie Liverpool at home. But if you are comparing yesterday's game with our match against Leicester, it is a week by week comparison... Which, from a personal point of view, is not nearly as useful.

I don't want to knock @Lighty64's efforts, but this a really different thing. Maybe you could change the thread title to "Week by week comparison" as it it would be clearer what you are doing here.

Sorry, but I'm a bit sad cos I miss the old game for game chart that @nicdic used to do - it was really useful (and last season it was also very cheery!)

erm, OK maybe I'm being thick, but like @mightyspur above I don't actually understand this.

It is too confusing for my addled brain!

Does it mean we are level or 3pts up on the SAME FIXTURES last year? I'm fairly sure we drew 0-0 with Liverpool last year, so how would that put us +3 up...? Or have we accumulated an extra 3 points so far on a game for game basis? Cos it looks like we are 3pts up on a week by week count to me...

And also, we have a total of 5points. Yes - we can see that on the prem league table. But how does that compare against last year?

Sorry @Lighty64 - again, I'm not trying to have a go. I would genuinely like to understand...

It says level, which is like-for-like results from last season, and +3, which is where we were at this stage of the season last year.

what about the total points? That can't be a game for game comparison - it is clearly our total points in the league...

Honestly, I wish this was done the same way as in previous seasons...:(

Total: 5pt = we got 5pts for the same 3
Current projection: 70pts means we are track for the same total as last season if every result matches last seasons

OK then, the total should read "level" or 0, if there is no difference in points for the same matches.

Sorry but I agree, last seasons was alot easier to comprehend.
So many numbers and punctuation, not very clear to me
