Standard, and really good to hear that he has takenc are of his family.

Something most of us would love to do, especially for the sacrifices they have made to enable him to become a professional footballer.
They'll have a life of luxury in Spain, good weather, good food, superstar son, with money to burn. I'd take my right arm off for that to happen to my son's and our family.

Seems they photoshoped the cover of the new Fifa game to Bale in a Madrid shirt. Not really surprised, but it is a bit biased towards Spanish football now.

Can't remember who it was but someone on here said categorically that that wouldn't happen, they had inside info or whatever.

I think this window has, or should have, taught us perhaps not to be so vehement in our opinions on what will happen or what would be good for the club. Rupstoh for example took a hell of a beating for suggesting that selling Bale for a world record fee and rebuilding the squad not only would happen, but would be a good thing. He got slaughtered by the very people (many respected and prolific posters) who have since waxed lyrical about the way we've handled the window.

Perhaps sometimes people shouldn't be so sure of themselves all the time. And maybe sometimes the unpopular or unusual opinion should be given some fucking respect.

Biased towards the greatest players in the world if you ask me, the fact Rooney even made it there a few years back shows how badly they'd like to get an English based player on the cover.

On the English version last year we had Joe Hart and Oxlade-Chamberlain! The year before it was Wilshere. And before that Walcott! Heavy Arsenal bias!

Bale and Messi is a breath of fresh air in comparison. Just seen the cover though...looks DREADFUL

I wonder how Ronaldo feels about Bale being on the cover. Can't be happy about it.

On a side note, I will laugh if Bale starts at left back this Saturday seeing as both Marcelo and Coentrao are I injured.

It's only the English cover so I can't imagine he gives a shit.

On another more positive note, if anyone owned a copy of the Spanish Fifa 13 the cover featured our very own Roberto Soldado

Ronaldo is signed up with PES, he has no affiliation with Fifa so he won't be bothered.

FIFA covers aren't league based, but players from that region. So for UK it is Bale plus Messi. For Mexico it's Chicarito plus Messi etc.

Not bothered though, I'll end up sticking the FIFA disc in the GTAV box or something anyway!
