Heard from a good mate of mine today

His brother has today been sat in a hotel in Barcelona where he heard a conversation between someone he now knows to be Jonathan Barnett who we understand to be Bales Agent

The conversation was about selling Bale to Barca in the summer. He was heard to say that only he and DL are dealing with this

Just passing this on in good faith. No reason to doubt its validity

No offense, i'm sure its passed on in good faith, but I don't believe it.

That could be because I don't want to believe it. But still.

Bit of luck he was sitting in a hotel room in Barcelona, when Gareth's agent was talking to someone he knows, and only him and Daniel know about it. Well not a secret anymore is it..........

Sorry I'm sure you are passing on in good faith, where have we heard that one before...... I just don't believe it.

Yeah, I know, but c'mon that is pushing the bounds of credibility to the edge.

Well I for one, am not going to lose any sleep over it. I'm sure there will be these sort of rumours on a daily basis. Some may even have a semblance of truth, that is something we will have to live with.

Messi doesn't sound too confident and to be fair Barca really don't have the money especially as they have other priorities

Lionel Messi believes that it would be “very difficult” for Barcelona to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham this summer.

Bale, 23, has been one of the Premier League’s top performers this season, scoring nine goals in his last seven appearances for Spurs, including the opener in the 2-1 win over Arsenal last Sunday.
The Wales international’s stellar displays have inevitably triggered speculation linking him with a summer move away from White Hart Lane.
Wayne Rooney is another Premier League star to have become the subject of reports suggesting he could be on his way out of the English top flight after he was dropped to the bench for Manchester United’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.
But although Barcelona star Messi admits that he would love to play alongside Bale and Rooney, he does not think either are likely to leave their current employers.
“They [Bale and Rooney] are both great players,” said Messi, speaking at the launch of ‘Team Messi’, a new collection of adidas football boots.
“You always want to play with the best players in the world, but I think it’ll be very difficult for them to sign for Barça. They are at great teams.”
Messi also revealed that he had watched Real Madrid book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
He added: “I saw Madrid last night and they showed how strong they are. They knocked us out of the Copa del Rey and now they are in the quarter finals of the Champions League. They are candidates to win the Champions League.

Anyone just hear that gobshite Rodney Marsh on talkSPORT?

Rodney Marsh said:
Spurs are not a big club and if I was advising Bale I'd tell him that he must leave Spurs now

I'd put him through a wall if he wasn't old as feck

I'm pretty sure that they if they were talking about a transfer like this they could of stretched to hiring a meeting room and being a bit more subtle about it - therefore I'm jumping on the BS bandwagon

Agents make a lot of money out of transfers. Do you think that they'll talk about such a big deal in a public place where people could overhear?

“They [Bale and Rooney] are both great players,” said Messi, speaking at the launch of ‘Team Messi’, a new collection of adidas football boots.

The tiny midfielder then went on to say "the PR person has ordered me to mention as many high-profile british players as possible in order to obtain media coverage of just another bleedin' launch of yet another football-related product in one of the biggest european markets of the bloody stuff. Is that ok?"

Hmmm. (Throws pinch of salt over shoulder. Notices huge pile of salt behind him. Vows not to take newspapers seriously).
