Hmmmm ...... speculation that Yanited want Rose, our LWB, and and speculation that Bale may come back, and we know where he can play. Vastly different amounts involved but just imagining Bale in this side if those two stars did align!:love::love:

I heard ages and ages ago....that the problem with bale actually is the training regime at Real Madrid from someone within the wales camp apparently they spend way to much time forcing him to follow Ronaldo’s weight training program.

They forced him to stick so much muscle on his legs and body it’s caused issues with lactic acid or blood flow and that’s what causes the injuries or something like that the rumour was apparently.

I was told if he was to come away from Madrid and follow a program that was to lessen time spent in the gym he would be fine after he has lost about a stone of muscle the welsh sports science department have apparently told him this but....he’s determined to win over the Madrid fans and club it’s his boyhood dream after all. He tried taking a plan back to the Madrid fitness team who scrapped it.

People also need to remember there’s been a lot of issues in his personal life recently.

He will leave Madrid within the next 18 months, but there’s only one way he’s coming to us and that’s if Madrid are taking one of

Lloris,Toby,Alli,Kane and then still we would have to oust united for him although I think he needs to be loved to see the best of him and that may very well drive him back to us

Talk dirty to me!

Sounds great but don't see how it could be true. Real Madrid are the world's biggest club, I'm pretty sure they have a good team of physios doctors etc and would not knowingly break one of their most valuable assets. Surely the recurrent injury problems alone would encourage them to try everything to get him fit and firing.

Furthermore, I can't think of a single player with persistent injury problems who had gone on to make a full recovery and play consistently thereafter although am happy to be proved wrong.

Also, the fact he would count as home grown in the CL won’t go unnoticed. I still doubt we will get him, but it would be a good move on several levels. Especially if we can keep him fit... or at least fitter.

I'm pretty sure he was playing regularly for Arsenal for the previous season or two also. I also don't think his injuries were as bad as Bales, besides the fact his first year at United was basically his last as a top level pro. I guess he moved at just the right time.

Gerrard. Suffered loads in his early years and was injured less and less as he got to his mid 20’s from what I remember. But yeah, can’t see Bale recovering because his game is based around pace more than anything else.

he's not coming but its fun to imagine a healthy Bale in this side.

Dare I say it, and maybe I have blinkers on but if he had stayed he would have a bigger legacy than he does right now. Historically Ronaldo, and probably rightly so will always take the limelight. If he had of stayed he could of genuinely won at least tWo PL titles.

Even if we could pay him £200k a week he'd be £20m a year down. That's a lot to give up to play.

Most players of bales stature believe they are good enough to play in their current team.

Just so we're all clear;

I was talking about players being sold when they don't want to leave in general and being put on lower wages as a result.
I have zero delusions that we'd be bringing one of the most expensive and highest paid players in world football to the new Lane. As a marquee signing. To ensure sell outs every week. To further increase our world wide marketing brand.

Nope. Not happening. :ROFLMAO:

I'd love to see Bale return to spurs but really coukdnt see it, unless Levy pulled a blinder and brought him back on loan with part wages being paid etc.
I think more sensible signings are needed, I'd love to see us go out and get Shaw and Zaha, two up and comers who would improve us greatly.

Shaw over Bale. OK.

I'm not saying I know Bale will return. One would have to be Bale, Levy or Pochettino to know that, which I'm not. However, all the people categorically ruling it out are too narrow minded, IMO.
