if we can offer him his old spot at Left Back...surely that will clinch the deal

Imagine the new stadium rocking as we sing in unison...." he plays on the left...he plays on the left..."

Bale returning is a pipe dream..look at cost of stadium..we are carrying something like 17ml in debt on the books already..not gonna happen.. the closest we'll get to seeing Bale is swanning around Old Trafford

Today's gossip

Real Madrid
will offer 28-year-old forward Gareth Bale in a £150m player-plus-cash deal for Tottenham's 24-year-old striker Harry Kane.(Daily Star Sunday)

Although this “story” is almost certainly bollocks it is another illustration ( if even needed) why Bale isn’t coming back.

We simply don’t have the financial muscle to buy back Bale, so if there’s even a hint he would be up for it, it will involve bending over for Madrid again either now or further down the line.

We could pay Bale 250k a week for four years for exactly the same money we spent in transfer fees on Sissoko and Janssen.

A 28 year old, injury prone shipjumper in exchange for arguably the most popular Spurs player of all time, who happens to be in the prime of his career? Levy would need psychiatric help to even consider this.

It's not finances that would stop a Bale return IMO.

"...and we got him back by theft".
