It is not really surprising.

He thought about leaving only because he wasn't given enough time to play. It was not because of salary, team's lack of ambition, homesick, winning/losing. If he is promised to play regularly, I don't see why he wants to leave, especially now Ronaldo is gone. The day when Zidane left and then Ronaldo, I knew he was going to stay.

Can a mod please lock this thread now
Why would you lock the thread?
Nothing has been made official in any shape or form. As far as we know he could very easily still go to Manchester United as much as stay at Real Madrid, or there's a last second change of heart etc etc...

There is no harm whatsoever in maintaining a thread where we can discuss the future of said player, even if the chances of rejoining us are - infinity, especially whilst his future remains unclarified.

Some people take these threads far too seriously.

Less than three weeks before the most glorious/shittiest/ok day of the decade then

My dear doctor, here I sit the day after "the day of potential unbridled joy", and alas, your words ring true, except for the "most glorious" and "OK" part. The Welsh lessons were a waste of time, the boys are blue, and the staff of life has been rendered jobless :(

So, I understand that it's extremely unlikely, if not very close to impossible that we'll be bringing Bale back to the Lane, but I do find it a little strange if he thinks he'll be the main man. Everyone is sure that Madrid are going to go out and blow their wad on Neymar and/or Mbappe.

Hazard and Courtois seems more likely right now.

They are also trying to bring James back.

Bale will have a shot as when fit he is probably the best goalscorer left there.
