So someone stuck £2k on him coming to spurs and it's been turned into a news article about him coming to Spurs?

There was ITK (Hercules?) in the January window that Real Madrid were prepared to sell Bale and Modric. Subsequently, it seemed that Real Madrid would want Kane as part of the deal.

It would not be a surprise if Bale leaves Real Madrid in the summer and (according to ITKs) we have first refusal if we can meet the transfer fee. Admittedly, we cannot match the personal terms offered by United but it wouldn't surprise me if he did return.

I'm sure Levy will be seeking a marquee signing to coincide with the opening of the new stadium.

I just don't see how this would work unless we were prepared to blow our wage structure to pieces. Not only would Bale's wages cost a fortune, but we'd more than likely have to give Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Lloris, Verts, and Toby massive wage increases as well to keep them happy. By the time you factor in the cost of his contract and all of their increases, it just doesn't seem worth it for me when the guy misses so many games through injury. Given his age as well, his injuries are more likely to get worse rather than better as well. I would love him to come purely for the nostalgia but it really just doesn't make much sense at all other than the nostalgic factor IMO.

Is this the huge clue Gareth Bale has snubbed Man Utd to sign for Tottenham?

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power took several big bets - running into thousands of pounds - on Gareth Bale joining Tottenham at the weekend.

A price of 12/1 was being offered but that has now been slashed into 5/2 following the market surge.

A Paddy Power insider revealed to Express Sport that the pattern and timing has put the company on ‘red alert’ that something is afoot.

A spokesman said: “It’s been Manchester United all the way for Bale but this has really caught us by surprise.

“The transfer betting is popular with low stakes customers but this level of betting has blown the market out the water.

“You don’t put upwards of £2,000 on a transfer going through unless you know something.

“We’ve had no choice but to slash the price and we are now keeping close watch on the market.”

Bale's agent has insisted he is happy at Real Madrid despite intense speculation linking him with a move away.

Jonathan Barnett told Italian outlet Tuttosport: “Bale? I think he’s worth as much as Neymar. He loves Real Madrid and doesn’t want to leave.

“Gareth does not need Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid, he is already a top star of the club.”

Bale left Tottenham to join Real Madrid for a then world record fee of £85.3million in 2013.

Manchseter United have since emerged as the club most likely to bring him back to the Premier League with Jose Mourinho admitting he wanted to sign the Welshman last summer.

He said ahead of the Super Cup: “If he is not in the club’s plans, that with the arrival of another player would mean he was on his way out, I will try to be waiting for him on the other side and fight with other coaches that would want him.

“But if he plays tomorrow, that is the best confirmation he is wanted by the team.”
Which one of you idiots just wasted £2K?

I can't imagine the collective fangasm that would happen if Kane and Bale line up together in our new stadium.

I actually believe it could be possible, there aren't many other players of that calibre we could potentially sign so if its an option we would certainly push for it.

Maybe Joe Lewis departing legacy will be the signing of Bale to partner Kane

Did anybody else read today that Real are willing to offer Bale and £100mio for Hazard?

Surely Bale won't go to that place!!

I can't call it a football club.

He would. Heard a rumour ages ago if bale does come back he may well indeed wear blue.

Pointed this out a few years back.

Arsenal? Probably not.

Man City yes.

The guy needs to leave, he is scared of pissing Ronaldo off and playing his real game, the game that got him the move.

Just watched Bale play for Madrid losing to a last minute goal to Espanol. He was awful. Really awful. He got subbed off and Sergio Ramos took his place up front for the last 10 mins or so :D

He’s lost it there. If he ever came back to the PL I’m sure he’ll find his feet again but he’s been average to poor for the last 2 years there and has never ever hit the heights of the AVB season even in his first 2 seasons there. I know he’s won everything and that’s what will matter to him but it’s sad to see him perform so averagely week in week out there. He should be the best in the world right now. He’s so far from that it’s laughable. Come back Gareth, Poch will sort you out.
