I don’t think any Euro clubs will outbid premier league clubs apart from PSG
In my view if he is fit then we need what he brings more than say Manchester United. I do think from a football view he would suit Bayern
i dont think he will go to Bayern, he has won CL a few times already and its hardly pulling up trees to win the league with them
He hasnt really done the language thing either so think he will come back to Prem
Yeah that was more or less my point, a club like Bayern might well be interested and Bale would be suited, but I do also believe that IF he leaves Real this Season, he will have eyes only for the EPL.

It would be exciting but I can’t help feeling the money would be better spent elsewhere

He’ll only be fit for 2 games in every 3, will be unstoppable when fit and will be twice Martial’s wages

If we can afford it who cares? Its not my money. Playing in 25 games is what he did for Madrid this year and scored 15 goals. He's an absolute stud and we should bring him back if he's open to it.

Mate if Bale comes we’d be guaranteed to win a trophy, calling that now.

If there’s even a remote chance of him coming back, we need to take it.

In 30 years time when they're doing a documentary on how spurs miraculously usurped peps "once in a generation" man city team to claim Tottenham's first league title since the 60s.

They'll talk about how we took a massive gamble on a an out of favour injury prone player. And how that gamble paid off in true "audere est facere" style. The missing piece of the jigsaw. The sprinkle of magic.

... I think that's why we need him if there's any chance at all we can get him. It sounds silly but if Gareth Bale walks into the training ground it would fill the players, fans, everyone with belief we can go do something big next season. It's a statement. And it just so happens when he's fit he's still fucking shit hot at football.

Literally in shock that some people don’t think we should sign him. He is the best player I’ve ever seen at Spurs. I fucking love him. Don’t give a shit what he costs.

Martial before Bale? Because he is younger?! Hahahaha. Please.

I think we have no chance of getting him. But I can dream. It would be our biggest coup since Klinsmann. I was 8 when that happened and I can still remember where I was when the story broke - it shocked the football world.

Would love us to make a statement like that once again.

Haha its so true, I was just in awe that last game. Looked just like the player that spent his last year at WHL.

All the players of his level and even a bit below his level I think we have zero chance of signing. Ignoring the wage costs and fees of those players just as big a problem is the minute they become available you've got at least two or three bigger clubs who would want them.

Bale though is in a bit of a weird situation considering how phenomenal a player he is. If he chose to leave Madrid this summer, it's only the PL he's going to, it's possible the only clubs in the PL willing to spend what would be good money on him would be us and Utd.
However what if Utd want someone else, younger, less injury history. The issue then for him is there's no way we'd match his wages, but if he wants to come back to PL he's kind of screwed.

If he's on the market i have no doubt Levy would pay the fee. Supply and Demand would mean the fee is lower than his quality level. It would be a monumental signing and extremely lucrative one and probably mean success on the pitch too. Wages though we'd be nowhere near what he's getting now.

It all depends on how much Bale wants to leave if he even does, because if he really does he'd have to take a pay cut or stay at Madrid. Where next season in all likelihood after the signings they're going to make he may barely play, he'll be hitting 30 and demand for him will fall further and wages clubs would pay fall further.

I think it's a dream but I dunno, I don't think it's as ludicrous a dream as some are trying to make out.

I get the argument that he'd choose Man United because of the money but it doesn't convince me, I dare say some people will disagree but I don't think money is his driving force.
I don't believe he went to Real Madrid for the money, he went there for the glory and to fulfill a dream, sure he took them for as much as he could, he's not daft but if at that time United had offered him more he wouldn't have taken it.
I don't think he wants to leave Real but if it has to be I honestly don't believe he is just looking to see where he can get most money, whether or not this means we have the opportunity to bring him back I don't know for sure but I think people are wrong to dismiss the possibility out of hand.
I remember when he went his agent made a point of saying that Daniel Levy kept his word to Gareth, maybe that works both ways.

We need to get a few things straight, Gareth Bale today, right now fit and on form, is a world class player.
This is a fair assumption! Gareth Bale is unlikely to join Spurs, but it is not impossible and maybe much more likely than we realise.
If RM win the CL then he may well leave and come back to us, with Salah and or Hazard, going in the opposite direction
If it was only about the money he could get more than where he is now in China...
As could a number of other players...Yet nobody is seriously suggesting he would go there...
IMHO, if he leaves, it will NOT be for the money, only.
If RM beat Pool then he would have won 4 ECL titles, which is a record for a British player, in fact
Last term, Cristiano Ronaldo matched Andrés Iniesta and Clarence Seedorf in becoming the third player to win the UEFA Champions League four times since the competion's inception in 1992/93.

Three other players have four UEFA Champions League titles to their name but took part in only three finals themselves:

Xavi Hernández: 2006*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Barcelona)
Lionel Messi: 2006*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Barcelona)
Gerard Piqué: 2008*, 2009, 2011, 2015 (Manchester United, Barcelona)

I think if you forget about the fee and the wages, not our money, not our problem, but i believe that it would only happen if he really wants it to.

The package he would get would be at least 200k per week with a share of shirt sales and image rights and a hefty sign on bonus, not bad for a guy coming home that does not by this definition measure success in money terms alone.
Not Madrid type money, but if he got a 4-5 year deal at 10m a year , maybe not so bonkers for him. So
I think.............................
In Jan Window, there was some ITK about Spain in the summer, Bale, coming back could even make Toby change his mind.
All our other Spanish expeditions (Fernando and Roberto) were a disaster!

Weirdly Poch telling Levy to be brave could be as much about saying, "wake me up before you go go
I'll have Bale and Modric, rather than sissoko, ill even let you sell coco..."

Or Daniel, please get me Bale (and try and keep Toby) and depart from the buy low and young policy. Juve showed we need experience....

If you were asked which players do you want to turn this side into EPL / ECL winners, to compete with City and the rest of Europe,
for titles for the next 3 years or so, Bale and Modric coming in and holding on to Toby, and maybe Dembele, with all our other stars staying, they would have 8 ECL titles between them so no more shortage of experience there then.
Even Danny Rose does n't need to google him!

Ha ha imagine if Bale came back to us and they replaced him with Salah, would be massive lolz all around!

(although Salah seems quite committed to Liverpool for at least next season unfortunately).

Would be hilarious though if came to pass.

I imagine Giggsy may have a word in his ear about joining manure! Would live to see Bale back in Spurs team today and he would not have to carry the team.

I think it's more likely RM will get Hazard than Salah, his contract runs out in 2020 apparently. Either way, good news for us.

All I keep imagining is the crowd reaction when he steps out onto the pitch for us for the first time again.

Goosebumps.

If we're in with even a sniff of a chance, we've GOT to do it. It would be fucking epic.

I'd find it quite emotional I reckon.

I always imagine a black and white slo-mo of a view of someone walking out of the tunnel into the lights of the stadium to the crowd.
'Bale
11'
On the back of the shirt, and then soaking up the frenzy of the crowd's reaction.
I think it'd be the loudest noise.
Followed by
BALE! BALE! BALE!

Come home, Gareth, for fuck's sake.
I want to see/hear/feel that.
