So Hans
This was the original post in this thread as I feel you probably have not read it, forgotten it, disagree with it, or finally just dont comprehend it....

Meanwhile I read yesterday, that according to some of the bookies, including Skybet (we are now the most likely destination for GB IF he leaves RM)

I personally do not think he will end up here, much as I would like to see him here

There is a huge clue in the "Welcome to take with a pinch of salt but only passing on in good faith"

from EBSpurs on COYS
not a WUM

Welcome to take with a pinch of salt but only passing on in good faith. A friend of a friend spent time with Bale recently. It seems he is very unhappy in Madrid and with all the politics including those surrounding Ronaldo has fallen out of love with football. He wants to come home and only wants to come back to Spurs. Knows he will have to take a massive pay cut and is prepared to do so to start enjoying life again. Sounded like it would be more likely in the Summer than January. As said passed on in good faith.

If this thread is your mission, Hans you need to get out more,
As long as other people are entited to their opinions, they can believe the world is flat as far as im concerned. Who cares?
This is a fantastic spurs site, IMHO the best on the net, please don,t ruin it for everyone else, I have no problem with the content or opinions you express in them, it just the quantity! I dont like to put anyone on ignore or give negative ratings...
If you really want to go on a mission, do something to change the world, go where you may do some good, help people, cure cancer
Lighten up dude, I'm sure your talents are wasted here.

He has a huge contract mate. Would cost them a rediculous amount to pay it up.

So would happily just be a bit part player? If Madrid lose on Saturday their fans are gonna go bat shit crazy and expect new toys.

New coach and stewardship first!

I dream of seeing a Madrid where Ronaldo is no longer the focal point and Bale is allowed the role he clearly craves at madrid and truly shines.

Lets be honest, it would have been a dream come true for Bale to return but from where we are at a club right now it wouldn't have been the right move. We are better off putting our money else where

Not that I thought it would ever happen, but I think it would have been exactly the right move for a club moving into a brand new stadium trying to make the jump up to the next level.

Any opportunity we get to bring a player in who can instantly improve our first 11 which is financially feasible should be grabbed imo.

Anyway, as long as he doesn’t turn up at Utd or Chelsea it won’t bother me.

I agree that he would have improved our first 11 but from what we have heard poch wants a back 3 and buying Bale would mean sacrificing quality buys in other positions like CM so I would rather but say Martial if we want a WF and a good CM than buy Bale and an alright CM.

A very strongly worded statement read out on the radio by Jim White from Bale's reps saying he wants to end his career in Madrid and is in love with the place. Has no interest whatsoever to come back to United, Chelsea or wherever.
All well and good Bale's reps saying that now, but that could quickly change if Madrid tell him he's no longer needed post-CL final and as his prospect of mainly being a bench player behind Isco, Asensio and any new signings increases.

That's not to say he'll come here obviously, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out if he's facing a lot of bench time next season.

If Madrid really came knocking - you are worth more than £100K/week....
On the basis of the accepted norm

What I mean is, I find it hard to accept/believe that for example Bale would have rejected a move if they'd "only" offered £20k more than he had at spurs
