I meant from a footballing perspective. If he’s not happy at Madrid, I have a hard time believing he will be happy at Man U with their style of play. Even if he is playing every week as he eluded to.

From coys

The first and last itk I'll probably ever get, but from the Bale family; he's going Man U.

Feel free to shoot it down but passed on in good faith.

Really, who is Bale going to go to? It seems like it's a choice between us and Utd and Utd have the money and, I guess, we don't. It sort of feels inevitable. Doesn't mean it's going to be easy seeing him play there. Martial will leave and Jose doesn't seem to rate Radford. They also don't have any left footed attackers.

I think we all suspected that Manure was the destination but it was nice to dream.

Until he signs we're still in the running as the contract says we can match the bid, we probably will, if just to see what astronomical figure he's asking for and then say we couldn't compete on the wage front but would have spent the money on the transfer

I really feel we are just 3 players short of being title contenders. If we could just sign players like Bale, Modric and Kyle Walker we’d be complete but attracting players of that standard to the club would be impossible ;)

IM not so very HO, THIS is why Bale needs a move this summer (back to us :woot:). Posters go on and on about the value of the weekly transfer of money from the club to the player, as if THAT's the number one way for a world star like Bale to make money. Bale needs to keep him self current, popular, well-known, in the media and on peoples lips. Not because the club he plays for sends him X thousands every week, but to maintain (or raise) his personal marketing value. Rotting on the bench in a league that's quite forgettable apart from 2-4 teams, that's not a way to earn a living. Being a star above all stars in the best league in the world, and the marketing value that comes with it, THAT'S how he'll earn money. Whatever Uncle Danny will pay him is second to that.
He already earns fortunes outside of football and will continue to do so whether he stays at RM or moves so there's no incentive there. So it comes back again to wages of which he currently earns 650K a week so why would he drop 500K to join us, for love?
So everybody should stop fantasising about his return and accept we had some great years with him before they did.

If you want hard and fast evidence, on ANY transfer, what on earth are you doing here? Apart from trolling the place with wankfest this, psychiatrist that and generally pissing people off by being a bit of a knob.

And that's my job.
He’s just salty that John McClane got rid of him

Could be that Utd have already put in a bid and we decided to waver our first option because Poch would prefer Martial who would be cheaper overall.

Was kinda hoping the Utd link might not come to fruition after the Independent article said they are unsure if Utd will firm up their interest. This would tie in with Ed Woodward publicly saying they have no further interest in Bale after signing Sanchez.
