The point was (supposed to be) that he will regain full image rights, which is a bloody significant figure & something that could be used to offset the salary differential.

I understand I'm not the smartest person in the world & not great at getting things across on here, but I don't understand how people aren't getting the repeated statements from multiple members that have stated his image rights could be used for our benefit.

As for the bit about Bale & Kane scoring/assisting etc, again, as others have pointed out since last night. Once Kane (and any other current Spurs player) has won the CL multiple times, won his domestic league, scored winning goals in cup finals etc etc etc, his / their agent(s) can complain about being paid on a different level.

However, all of us on here KNOW that Levy is a chairman who makes his contracts more incentive based, and I've seen some people suggesting that, after taking all the goal scoring bonuses & CL qualification etc, young Mr Kane was actually earning not far off £300k p/w over the last 2 seasons himself.
I guess we just have very different ideas on how much his image rights would be worth (also isn’t he supposed to have 50% of them already?).

Also we know Poch likes to nurture players, which is what he will do with Martial. Bale is already the completed product.

Is it me or does Bale literally look like an outcast right at the back of the bus

Another thing to point out is that I'm fed up of hearing this romanticism towards Bale. This whole idea of 'he was born to play for Spurs' is a load of fucking bollocks.

The bloke claimed to have a injury and went AWOL in the Summer leading up to the Madrid move. Some of our fans really are fickle and shortsighted.

Funny how somebody like Toby who is prepared to stay at the club providing he's paid what he wants gets more criticism than Bale who forced through a move by refusing to train.
But if reports in sc are to be believed.
Toby asked for x
Levy offered y
Poch fought to get him x
Toby then asked for z

Moral of the story, piss off poch, youre done

And rightly so

I believe that we need a major signing for the opening of the new stadium. Bale would be the one for me

Everyone says this, but why?

Surely a successful team is more important than a big name signing.
Gareth Bale wouldnt just be a "big name signing." He's be a "legend coming home still having quite a few years left" signing. He is the type of player this team has desperately needed since....well, since he left. And now that we are a good team, we have one glaring weakness which is a lack of a player who can turn a game on its head instant and win it. A player who can put that team on his back. Gareth Bale is that type of player. Whether we sign him or not(and in reality I dont think we will), we NEED this type of player.

He’s going to United, it’s been on the cards since he left us. There were always rumours about him wanting to follow in Giggs’ footsteps, they have the money and prestige and the need for a player like him and in his position. It’s gutting but it’s inevitable.

To believe that Bale would pick a club now based on who Giggs played for really sounds like baloney.

If he comes back to 5he Premier League then I can only see it being for either us or Utd. All down to how Bale feels in terms of whether he wants a fresh start and new challenge at Utd or back to a place that was once a home to him. The good news is that we're a far better outfit than when he left and there are players here that he's bound to get on with. He'd be a bigger fish here than he is at Madrid, that's for sure.

Edit: It's still entirely possible he could go abroad. PSG selling Neymar to Real could leave a spot for Bale if Ronaldo doesn't want to go there.

Would turn my stomach to see him in a manure jersey, he is the one highlight reel signing that could really mark our return to WHL and showed last night why. Levy and Poch should be breaking down doors for to try make this work

Some of the press reporting that Ronaldo is heading back to Utd, surely that would rule Bale out for Utd, can't see those two wanting to play in the same team again not to mention the cost of employing the both of them.

Ronaldo back to Manchester, Bale back to London, Neymar back to Spain?
Ronaldo and Bale as opponents in the same league after both returning to their former clubs. You can't make that shit up.

It’s silly season for the press in these couple of weeks without football. Today alone Utd are close to signing Ronaldo, Bale (in a 200m deal) and Savic (for a club record 96m). Add Toby to that and that would be Utd spending close to 500m which they can’t do in the rules. Even if they could they’d still play shit football and i genuinely think that’s a negative for them despite their money and prestige.

I'm not sure suggesting to Kane that the road to earning more money is to go to Real Madrid is the best idea really!
