hmm, this isn't being ruled out by Trix and now we know he's gone. I'd take him but not willing to spend more than 50 mil.
We shouldn't have to even pay that much given how much Zidane seems to hate him.

Still doubt its us, but I truly don't know how many suitors he's likely to have.

You're right Dov it isnt. Very very unlikely to happen but not remotely for the reasons in that post
Well, it isnt happening unless things changed drastically in a short time. Wonder where he’s going.

Edit: Just wanted to throw this in here. Zidane could go fuck himself. Awful treatment of a player whose done nothing wrong. By Zidane and that vile club. That quote has me seething. What a ****.

Maybe I’m looking at this a little *too* optimistically, but I’ve felt for a while that coming back is perfect for all parties. Poch putting his arm round Bale and being that father figure he seems to be around the squad would be ideal after Bale has gone through this nonsense with Zidane. The more that Zidane says and does to ostracize Bale only makes me more confident that if we could get Bale and Poch on a call/in a room together, we’d get a deal done. I genuinely believe his man management skills could get this over the line. After all, he is magic, you know....

Atrocious behaviours from Madrid to say something like that in the public domain, being social media

I could never imagine Poch or Levy slating a Spurs player like that in public.

“We hope he leaves soon, if tomorrow it’d be better!”

Every player’s dream to play for Real Madrid and all that…

And that is why they are such an arrogant shit-shower of a club, money begets power, power begets hubris, and as my Nan always told me, pride comes before a fall. The fun thing is, tomorrow morning (Sunday for me) I'm meeting a good client of mine to repair some serious water damage to his house (he takes care of my websites), and he's a massive M*drid fan. Gonna be fun :sneaky:

A few more quotes from Zidane in this

https://global.espn.com/football/re...zidane-drops-bale-bomb-we-hope-he-leaves-soon

Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving," Zidane said. "We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.

"I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done, I have to make decisions. We have to change.

"The exit is the coach's decision, and also of the player, who knows the situation.

"The situation will change, I do not know if in 24 or 48 hours, but it will, and it's a good thing for everyone."

Sources have confirmed to ESPN that Manchester United are not in the running to sign Bale.

Marca's front cover on Tuesday suggested former club Tottenham were offering Bale "an exit" from the Bernabeu.

The reported deal would see Madrid receiving a €50-60m transfer fee with Spurs paying around half of his €17m-a-year salary, and Madrid handing the winger €25m up front to cover the remaining three years of his contract.

It has to be Bayern. There’s no way that Inter or Napoli could afford him, too much ego at Juve and the Manchester clubs are out. So it has to be Bayern.

Right??

As awesome as it maybe to get him back, ITK seems pretty definitive that Bale is not happening, but hypothetically it Would be interesting to poll Lo Celso vs Bale if we could only sign one

I don’t think we will pay a fee of €50m and €8m salary a year for Bale who had just turn 30. Unless Eriksen goes the other way worth €80m.... which I think would be ok biz for us.
