Harry needs to take away this licence he has to roam and keep on the fucking left!

if he intents to play like this, wandering around the pitch, leaving us extremely narrow with no other natural winger on the pitch, the he might right feck off to barca for 60m. he was useless again today and needs some sorting... if rednose was our manager, he would give him a proper hairdryer treatment, he wouldn't need any hair gel for weeks...

pretty much all of them, except the old man and maybe walker, were useless, but this pisses me off really....

This is down to 'Arry - he's giving him license to do it.

'Arry needs to get a grip and just play to our strengths, especially for tough games. No fannying about.

It's the sad state of the game that has reduced him to doing "what everyone else is doing"

Lost alot of respect for him over the past few games.

The roaming does need to stop against the higher quality opposition in the league. Ronaldo is allowed a free (ish) role at Real but the guy is both footed and the 2nd best player in the world. Bale left wing, Azza right wing works, please go back to that 'Arry.

His not getting worse his getting better but Kranjcar in the team seriously compromises the team Lennon imo for the balance of the team is better suited. The manager has to be clever in deciding what games Bale can play that free role and when his required to be more disciplined on the left.

Harry should be more tactically aware quick enough to see when such instructions need be enforced.

I think there was a 'touch' of contact but not enough to affect momentum and go down.

I was more concerned with some of the cocky, Ronaldo-esque techniques he was trying to pull off.

Sometimes I feel he should stick to the left wing role. The central/free role is good against lesser opposition but feel he needs to stick to the left against better opposition. This way gives bae options for passing up the left wing.

This.

Jasus, 'Arry...he had one exciting game with a free role - we need width, get him back on the wing already

When he makes it work we purr with delight but it doesn't work we moan like mad.

Let's get real shall we and keep things in perspective.

My complaint is about Redknapp not keeping him wide...we need width.

It worked to some extent away at Norwich and we've been trying it pretty much ever since

Doesn't work 90%, so get him back on the left

Needs to be reigned in abit as this free role lark has gone to his head and doesn't put in the shift to win the ball back which Rafa has in his locker.

433 and stick to being either wide left or switch flanks with Lennon periodically to wide right - leave the middle for Modric, Rafa and co.

I thought he was clipped by Gibbs - not sure why the commentators kept going on about the keeper catching him (or not catching him). The problem Bale has is that he moves so damn fast that any minor contact is going to put him off-balance and make him go down. Although saying that it has looked like he's tried to buy a few lately.

Bale does look lazy now. Last season we were pulling out Opta stats from all over the place to show how he covered the most ground of any Premier League player in any game ever or some such. I wonder what those statistics show now.

He looks disinterested when the opposition have the ball and he's started to play like the annoying kid in the playground who thinks he's better than everyone else.

I think it's more than a coincidence that after a switch to a free role his work rate has noticeably dropped - which is extremely worrying considering it was always a bugbear beforehand.
