Gotta give some credit to Man Utd this transfer window. Obviously they have stupid amounts of money which helps but they seem to have got all their business done and dusted with very little fuss. Didn't get every plan A but got enough and got some plan B's.

Final day now and of last years top 6:

Chelsea want more signings but isn't all going their way.
We're actually doing fine. Aurier hopefully to be announced today, potentially Llorente and others.
Man City seemingly attempting both Sanchez and Evans
Liverpool trying to keep hold of Coutinho plus working on bringing in Ox and if possible (but doubtful) VVD
Arsenal... just... HA
And Man Utd... sitting back. Relaxed.

"stupid amounts of money" is the key.....and while i dislike them, really dislike them, at least their money isn't oligarch petro cash like Citeh and Chelski

Oh for sure. I don't begrudge them for having stupid amounts of money because of how they got their. And they used it fucking well this transfer window (annoyingly). Of the top 6, they bought smart and for the team and are now done with time to spare.

Whilst we're not exactly panicking over here, they've done the best of the top 6 I'd say.

Why do SSN always say "Good news for blah blah blah FC, they have just signed blah blah blah player "

It's not good news if that signing is actually shite

Yeah they have seemed to. I think Mourinho would have hoped for Bale to be the cheery on top, but happy to settle for what he has. Puts them in the driving seat.

Chelsea seem to be in a right mess and the fact that their manager and directors are on a different wave length is seriously hurting them in the market. Can you imagine negotiations for a player the manager doesn't want, surely the player would sense that and be skeptical about going there.

Liverpool will probably go on a huge spending spree if Coutinho does go.

City have got a wealth of extremely brilliant attacking options but they have done nothing to address the spine of their team, which is very important for a title winning team.

Arsenal .......I'm hoping they get trolled with Draxler and Dortmund come in last minute so they lose Sanchez and have to settle for someone inferior - although I think keeping Sanchez staying is actually best case scenario at this point as he'll just sulk his way through the season

As long as we get the WF and Barkley/Another option then we should be looking good to compete.

I'm fascinated to see how Chelsea come out of this transfer window. After winning the title I naively thought last year that they'd just build on that, but quite the opposite seemingly. They've not really brought enough players in to compete in the champions league. Again, let a few more go out on loan. Costa wants to leave and manager isn't happy... will be interesting.

City have already bought enough to be a frightening opposition, but they're not impossible to beat by any stretch. They have massive strengths, but clear weaknesses too and that'll hurt 'em.

Liverpool I don't think will get much in today. Too late in the game. With Bale, we started our business with enough time to finalise stuff before Bale actually left. They're not in that position.

Arsenal... oh god they're hilarious right now. Even if they get in Draxler (which would likely mean they lose Sanchez) I don't see that helping them. That's not what they need in the slightest.

Us, we're arguably in a better position than when we ended last season with Sanchez and Aurier in total being an upgrade on Wimmer and Walker imo. Is it enough though? We'll see

Good to see everyone having a fairly chaotic deadline day.

Still loads to be done for some very big names by the looks of it.

Dortmund's squad is bloody insane. Excellent business from the start to the end of the window.

Sanches officially a Swansea player now.
Season long loan. Surely a great move for all parties? Sanches gets the chance to sign, Swansea potentially get a great young player and if all goes to plan then Bayern will get a more mature Sanches back next season.

they are going on and on about Renato Sanches. Proof is in the pudding.

Mmm pudding.

'Sanches made his Bundesliga debut in September against Schalke, putting in a performance to forget. His passing was poor, his tackling clumsy. Sueddeutsche Zeitung described him as 'amateurish' and 'nervous as a learner driver'.

It was a pattern which would pervade almost every single one of his 17 appearances for Bayern. The young Portuguese has rarely looked anything but nervy, often losing the ball too easily and failing to place his passes. His endless energy has often looked wasted, his inexperience exposed as he fails to impose himself on the play.

That Sanches needed time to acclimatise to the Bundesliga was no surprise to Bayern. He was, in any case, not expected to make an immediate impact, and his still volatile form had been something the Bayern scouts had already observed before making their move.'

Comes from the Mail but don't click it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...es-struggled-Bayern-Munich.html#ixzz4rL2W6Psz

It also says the role models at the club were also the ones blocking his path to the first team. Guess we'll see how he gets on at Swansea. Carlo has done Clement a favour here..

Chelsea getting Zappacosta for about the same fee as Aurier really is a wonderful thing. Aurier is the far superior player.

Origi £6 mil loan fee! Pool only paid £10 mil for him. Would suggest he'll be moving to Wolfsburg permanently I suppose.

Sanchez is going to be happy with the latest developments. Arsenal agree to give him his wish and then change their minds when they can't find a replacement...
