BBC radio reporting that Liverpool have agreed a £142m fee with Barca for Henderson Coutinho. Would be second-highest transfer ever.

Liverpool are more of a selling club than us, yet Sky never try to auction off Mane and Salah.
I wouldn't say they're more of a selling club. They haven't had many players in recent years that clubs above them want.

No way is he worth that.
Coutinho signed a 5 year contract with Liverpool in Jan 2017. They're having to pay extra because of the 4 years left on it, that's why the price gets bumped so much. Liverpool didn't need to sell. But they'll get 3 tops players for the money now...... none of which will be a goalkeeper or a defender to accompany VVD. Lots of players who can run fast I expect.

Let's not forget they've already spent half of it on van dijk.

I cant get my head around the money in football.

If Liverpool were sensible they would get in another centre back and a goalie, but they are linked with Mahrez! They have Keita coming in next season too.

I don't think they will miss Coutinho as much as people think.
I think they will. I can see them getting Mahrez as he's quite obtainable, however he's neither as good as Coutinho nor does he offer the same attributes to their attack. I don't think a Mahrez, Mane and Salah combo works anywhere near as well as none of them can pull the strings against teams that sit back. Not sure if Keita offers that either as he's more box-to-box then brains. It might be different if they go for Lemar but it looks like Monaco are gunna hold them at ransom. They still need a gk and probably another cb. They don't have the outlay for all of that and I'm expecting Salah to be heavily linked away next as Madrid want him.

And the other half on Keita, with £40 million on top for AOC.

Lemar will be well North of £50 million, what’s a decent keeper going to cost them?

And Mahrez?

The debts are mounting...

If they get Lemar that would be an incredible replacement and, all though he would be very expensive, he won’t cost 140. Could end up be very good business for them

It's Mahrez or Lemar, not both imo.
