Laporte to City. It's easy to say when they have unlimited funds but I think they've done better then Liverpool here in terms of spend/value
the last 5 years alone the scummy oil slave holders have spent 450 million net more than Pool so probably not....

I meant in isolation compared to van dijk
fair enough on VVD....his fee is excessive but it is also connected to the Coutinho transfer and Pool getting caught tapping him up.

As an aside, an oft under reported issue with Chelsea is the vast number of players they have bought and then loaned out....allowing them to sell at a profit....this warehousing was only made possible due to vast initial expenditure.

Interesting that in the core Prem era (from a spending perspective) 2003 to date, Chelsea are well ahead of Utd and behind only City in net spend and total outlay.

Give Maureen time to work on that. He will equal the books.

I heard that Pogba’s agent has been knocking on Woodward’s door already. Apparently Pogba should now be on a similar wage to Sanchez to reflect his standing in the team.

Let the unrest commence with Utd’s wage bill spiralling out of control as they all line up for a raise.

United can afford to double everyones wages and some

If Arsenal get Mikhi, Aubameyang and Evans after losing Sanchez I think it could potentially see them better off, especially as Sanchez just didn't want to be there.

I have to admit I've never actually been impressed with Mikhi when I've seen him but I know he must have been highly regarded for a reason so maybe my opinion will change. May help him not playing under someone so defensively minded in Mourinho.

Yeah they'll be much better off. Reuniting the Dortmund pair would result in a strong short term boost

It's one thing blocking development with average, mediocre or other potential that needs developing, it's another blocking it with a world class player though. I don't actually blame Mourinho too much on this one, he's definitely not hired for his ability to integrate youth, he has to win the title or he's getting the bullet.

I think there have been off pitch issues with Martial, and Mourinho will look to move him on in the summer.

What's happened with Martial, other than him appearing, in demeanour, to be perpetually under a dark cloud?

Didn't he absolutely ruin us when he was still at Dortmund?

West Ham journo - don't know how reliable

Jason Burt
@JBurtTelegraph

Joao Mario loan move from Inter Milan to West Ham United all agreed now. So it should happen...
No doubt it's on classic West Ham terms. High fee up front, big fee agreed in the future based on appearances and he'll play one less than required then not feature again.
