Mirror reporting that Dembele
(Barcelona) is available for loan this upcoming season in a bid to recapture some form after injury hit season.

Says Klopp is interested.
Also states that a deal for Fekir to Liverpool is 99% complete.

Fee...circa £60 million.

If the latter is true regarding Fekir, not sure if Dembele would fancy a loan there.

How many midfielders does Liverpool need... unless they plan to use him further up.... maybe as a replacement for the departing Salah....

Liverpool are apparently close to signing Fekir.

Add Keita, and they are shaping up to have a frightening side next year.

Yup, it's been a bit strange there for a few years now.

They seem to be able to go out and buy whoever they like, with zero competition from other clubs. Cracking players too.

Just hope they're still not answering their actual weaknesses really and that Salah doesn't have another miracle year.

Leicester have signed Ricardo pereira who we were linked with last summer, be interesting to see how he gets on

https://www.lcfc.com/tv/692092/ricardo-pereira-agrees-foxes-switch
It will indeed, obvious comparisons are bound to be made between him and Serge Aurier, given the rumours around us being interested in him for quite a long time, only time will tell if we purchased the best one of these two, if he does really well in his first season and his performances better those of Aurier, there is no doubt about it that we will hear a lot more about this next season.
I'm very much of the opinion that we shouldn't write off Serge Aurier just yet as I think we need to make sure he gets a full pre-season and enough opportunities next season before completing our appraisal on him but I for one will be keeping tabs on Pereira and will be really hoping that we don't regret not purchasing him.

If that’s the case then it will be one of two reasons. One, they’re over paying compared to what other clubs would pay or two, they’re paying higher wages than other clubs would. It’s going to be one or both of those reasons.

Pointless loaning players if you don't have the option to buy after.
I don't think that is always true. Sometimes it can be beneficial for both parties. Hypothetically, say we really need to strengthen our AM and CM positions, but our budget is limited. If we could loan Dembele this year, spend all our money on a quality CM, and get output from both. Then when Dembele went back to Barca, strengthen with another AM next summer. I'm not saying getting Dembele is realistic, just this is a way you could make the loan system work.

We spend a year developing a player who will eventually bed in to our style of play and get used to the team only to lose him and buy another player and repeat the process?

Nah, pointless.

I don't see the logic Liverpool wanting Fekir?

Where does he fit in? He's not a rotation player.

If you look at their first 11 and the 433 they always play, in pure terms it isn’t a simple case of them having a vacancy, but the beauty of Fekir is he can play various positions, including CF or false 9. In a 433 he can possibly even play deeper, the way Coutunho did. So what they would have is a genuine top quality player to add to their rota, and Klopp’s system needs rotation.

Pereira a great signing for Leicester. They're building a solid squad of players.

I would not rule them out challenging the top six next season if they get more players of that calibre in.

Although i'm not too bothered about us going for a forward player this summer, if we are to bother then Fekir would make similar sense for us.

He could replace Llorente and Sissoko, having the ability to play left, right, ten and as a striker. I think if Lamela was to leave on top of Llorente and Sissoko then he'd be the ideal replacement.

If he played in midfield with Keita and a DM then the latter and the defence will have a lot of work to do.

In the front three Mane has to take a lesser role, the other two are more important. Fekir would be a nice contrast in this regard.

I didn't think they'd buy anyone that would replace the front three.

I've already mentioned that Ousmane Dembele is supposed to be available for loan this upcoming season.

A master in the assist department, should we be interested?

I understand that loans can be somewhat meh, you know, player excels and then returns to parent club leaving a feeling of resentment that said player is not our own.

However, for the right financial loan package, his signing could allow for extra cash to be spent elsewhere this season and would still see us strengthen the wing depth.

Then next season we sign a top winger with less pressing needs already addressed this window.

Thoughts.

Is he the guy we pissed off a few seasons ago when we tried to get him on a trial?

I don't know why they don't have competition to sign him, he's some player. However I can't really see that Poch can identify technical players! We have too many in the team who have a shocking first touch and poor vision.
