Looks like United have gotten Fred, seems a big risk at £50M or is he a decent player?

Fernandinho's direct replacement at Shakthar when he left for City, isn't he? Supposed to be as highly rated as Fernandinho was back then.

So box to box midfielder, Matic holding Pogba finially gonna be let lose, could be a dominant midfield.

He's very good. It will depend on how he adapts.

He is prone to switching off and pushing forward leaving gaps but Mourinho will coach that out of him.

This rumour about Jamie Vardy going to Atletico Madrid is an interesting one.

He's probably after his last contract extension. He's 31 - 32 by the end of the January window.

Leicester won't tell for less than a stupid fee (say £40m+), and I can't see anyone paying that for him.

He wasnt his direct replacement

We tried to sign him at internacional but he then left to Shakhter, he was a small winger when we were linked but then he got converted to CM later on. Its worth noting he is 5ft 6in

I thought it was striker Fred we were linked with back when Redknapp roamed the corridors. :bag:

Just saw Marek Hamsik has apparently said he wants to leave Napoli.

So I’m a bit surprised the only real links for him are to go to China. Perhaps he just wants to cash in at the end, but he’s exactly the type of player I think we could really use.

He's a brilliant player but he always seems to get substituted due to stamina.

Great in his prime, but the last thing we need is another 30yo Cm who struggles with the pace and getting through games.

And the rigours of Poch and the PL will hardly help that.

Sounds like Ronaldo is going to leave Real.

Wonder if he might end up at PSG on some sort of swap? Can't see him going back to Utd.

He’s done this schtick many times before at Real. He basically just wants them all to suck up to him and tell him how great he is. And maybe a new contract.

Can't see it this time, he was talking like he's achieved what he wanted to with them. Too vocal and logical this time around, for me.

How come?

At 33 I'd think the last thing he'd want to do is end up like Zlatan. Plus, who the fuck would move to Manchester by choice if they lived in Spain?

I can only see him going to an easy job with a last mega contract - that's PSG, for me. Also, I can only see that being the way they'd let Neymar go - they're obsessed with having Ronaldo, too, from past links.
