I'm fairly sure he's unofficially a part owner. He's not allowed to technically be one because he's an agent, or something like that, but he's close friends with the official owner and has a lot of say in the decisions they make. I don't think he'll pull teh rug from them because of his relationship with the actual owner.

I've posted this before, but I remember reading something a while ago about how the owner and Mendes have huge plans for Wolves and aim to follow a similar path as Manchester City to turn them from yo-yo club to superpower. It's something about how they believe the area around Wolverhampton and surrounds has room for a super power club and could have massive potential for further growth. Something like that anyway.

I think they're both in it for the long haul and when it comes to the PL, Wolves are here to not only stay, but prosper. I think their transfers have already shown, and will continue to show in this window and next summer's, that they have some serious European ambitions they want to meet within the next few years.

The only thing that should happen to Wolverhampton and its surrounding area should be a bulldozing

The West Midlands are indeed lacking a truly big club right now, but the area is also incredibly dense in terms of clubs of PL/Championship size with large, loyal, entrenched fanbases who aren't going to be switching to support Wolves any time soon. Furthermore almost all of the larger clubs nearby are now also owned by Chinese investors, I expect all with very similar plans.

To me what I see, even with the Mendes advantage, is all of their prospective projects descending into money pits which won't benefit any of the clubs longer-term.

Or it could be ideas of granduer. Milan and villa and a hundred clubs have learnt form this in the last few years. There are a small amount of trophies or cl places, after that you are making up the numbers.

Maddison to Leicester done. 5 year deal - £22m rising to £24m with add ons.
I think Leicester have done pretty good business this window. Pereira and Maddison are both good buys. Curious if they are just flush with cash or spending the inevitable Mahrez to City money. In which case they need to figure out a RW and if Gray is their LW or if they will keep playing crossing extraorindaire Alrbighton.

United to sign Fred tonight for 55m apparently. No idea if he's any cop but it does make any United move for Danny Rose more palatable, I reckon those two would work well together.
Doesn’t strike me at all as a Mourinho player so we’ll see how that works out.

I thought it was more of a “Guardiola really wants him so I’ll steal him” type of move.

Ruben Loftus Cheek joins long list of players to sign a long contract for a petro club and then feel gloomy about their playing time.
His dad once pointed out he'd have played 60-70 games for Poch....problem is he signed for Chelski until 2021!

Really interested to see how Leno does with the scum. He was considered one of the top young goaltending talents around a few years back, but really stalled and faltered the last couple years. Especially last year - he was very error prone.

West Ham interested in Jack Wilshere. They just seem to be sniffing around anyone with a big name.
