Not sure how Goalkeeper can look in one league but not the other?, you either are good or you aren't. If Alisson was the best keeper in Italy and if he's being picked over one of the best keepers in the league for the national team then he must have something about him.
Premier League goalkeepers have less protection and keepers have come here and struggled initially like De Gea and even someone like Barthez who was considered a great looked shaky for united

Wasnt he, I was young at the time, but I thought he was considered a great keeper for France and Monaco

Ok maybe I implied a great of all time but I meant a great keeper

I think people definitely expected him to be better than he was.

I seem to recall Taibi being bought on the back of being good in Serie A, too

We can all pick and choose successes and failures from various leagues. Personally I think Alisson is a very good keeper, regardless of who else has succeeded and failed in Serie A.

I think he was a good keeper, but not a great. More Lloris level, not DeGea or Courtoise.

I can understand within the last season that or two Lloris has progressively been more ropey. However he imo was a great keeper and at the level of the two you mentioned if not better 2 or 3 seasons ago. Other than his distribution Lloris looked amazing.

De Gea until 2 seasons ago was overrated just because of shot stopping ability and Courtois is a keeper who goes through bad patches but doesnt seem to get too much stick for it

Ederson didn't need any protection last season, I don't think there's an argument for all keepers that come from foreign leagues, everyone is different.

It all depends on what type of keeper Allison is, really. Ederson is a brute, and extremely brave, so he was never likely to have any issues adapting to the PL style.

If Allison is as big a girl as his name suggests then he may indeed experience some issues on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke Burnley.

Kind of is the point - you can’t jusge how someone handles pressure and being bombarded when he never had to face it with his team being so dominant.

Nah the point is that when he was called upon he handled himself unlike those stereotypical foreign keepers that flap at everything i.e Navas

Liverpool are trying to buy the league like City. Klopp should be under severe pressure if he does not mount a title challenge, fucking dippers
