Max meyer going to crystal palace....will end up at a big club in 12 months for a lot of money.

That's a good signing.

Surprised a bigger club haven't gone in for him.. the only question is now...a replacement of or a compliment to Zaha....

Bonucci to Milan was baffling. Player I was secretly hoping we'd go in for, he's majestic.

Reports in Germany indicated his wage demands were ridiculously high, therefore making him not an option for German clubs. Also, his advisers must have felt that someone will get desperate the longer the window goes and pay Meyer (and his advisers) what they want.

Palace has to pay Schalke 500K compensation. Assuming he is actually worth 20-25 million in today's market, Palace will probably pay a hefty singing fee to him. Could be a great signing or a complete flop. I think for Palace it will be key to keep Zaha, if they lose him, I could see them struggle to stay up.

The Juve/Milan transfers are weird. Juve are really gambling away the future there. There defense wasn't an issue and that exact combination in defense didn't exactly hold up in those finals losses either. I'd keep Rugani and Caldara and build the next great Italian defense if I were them.

If Inter have had encouragement then we should 100% try for him too. Hands down the best midfielder on the planet and would be a great marquee deal for the summer.

Inter will be a pull for him with the croatian contingent though.

Would surprised if Madrid let him go however. I get that they are having a reboot but he just won the golden ball and is in with a shout for Ballon D'Or.

They would be nuts to let him go. But..... they do some weird shit.

I'm guessing Kovacic wanting to leave was a wake up call, time to bring on the new generation. Probably the smart thing to do after 3peating the CL, go ahead and bring on the new generation rather than trying one more time and pissing off those players who were going to be the next group to lead you along.
