If he did this move at 25 when he's entering his peak I'd agree, but very few of the best CB's in the world were playing at the very top level at 20. It would probably be a better idea for his development to step up slightly from the Eredivisie to Ligue 1 but not quite throw himself in to the fire of the PL or La Liga yet.

To get a few French titles under his belt and then move to Barca/Real would be great for him. Plus he'll earn a nice wad while he's at it.

I'm pretty much with you here. I personally think he could do better than PSG but it's not like it's a bad move. He can get some trophies, get some playing time, get some CL minutes and it is pretty much a step up from Ajax. Gives him a few more years to earn his name there and maybe even help change things around for PSG on a European level before then making his big move to whatever team will eventually become his main one so to speak.

It's Mino Raiola. If de Ligt sticks with him then he will be jumping clubs every 2-3 years just like all other Raiola clients.

Looks like a smart signing. I saw 24 million mentioned which would seem very cheap. That said, they'll probably have a very high sell on clause so when he goes to United/City for 60+ next summer Villarreal will make plenty of cash.

He must have forced them. Much better for Dortmund to loan him out again if they don't intend to play him. He can turn out to be pretty good.
