How can Real afford this many new shiny players without anyone having left yet?

Incredibly, they've only had a net spend of around £25m over the past 3 seasons.

They've built up a vault of cash in that time and I guess now's the time to spend it.

Not sure if I've mentioned this idea before - don't want to sound like a broken record - but what do people on here think of a 'European transfer market event', where all the summer's transfer business is done in the space of 72 hrs?

Essentially, it's a massive televised auction for players in Europe that have been nominated by their clubs, which would get the transfer window done and dusted in a short space of time, so players and fans can get on with their summer. Coaches would also have their squads ready for pre-season training, etc.

Finally, broadcasting/advertising rights could be sold for the event and the proceeds given to grass-roots football, or charitable organisations, etc...or more likely, big clubs

Anyway, if we put the granular specifics to one side, do you think it could work?

Sounds really stressful.

Footballer eBay...I suggested it earlier. Players are either auctioned or have a Buy Him Now price....
See who can come up with the best "Feedback" report for a player....mine would be 'Received on time, not as described, no returns, very disappointed'

Pablo Formals to West Ham ??

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jun/12/west-ham-close-signing-villarreal-pablo-fornals-24m

Mentioned him a few times, his returns don't really tell the whole story. Good player, be interesting to see how he fares in the premier League

Stated a few times before that I'd happily see him in the Spurs shirt That fee is a buyout if I'm not mistaken.

Interesting one. Looks a really classy player with moments of magic, and yet his stats appear to be very, very average and he looks a bit soft around the edges. Presumably they're paying some hefty agents fees at the mo?!

Yes. Like I said, his returns aren't great, but this lad can play. I'm of the thinking that his stats would be better with better quality players around him to appreciate his game.

Tidy dribbler, quick feet and wonderful passing ability.

I reckon a steal at £25 million.

Agreed, good potential/value in this market. Spain is a more competitive league than most too but will be interesting to see what kind of impact he makes. They've lacked Lanzini this year so as an option he could really help. Their CM area is their weakest IMO.

Apparently Real Madrid are close to another signing. Takefusa Kubo who is a famous FIFA wonderkid. No idea how good he'll be but an interesting transfer if true.

Shame really. If we don't get GLC this guy looks like a ideal alternative, for far less coin.
