The top five most expensive defenders in history are now in the prem

Van Dijk
Mendy
Walker
Luiz
Stones

I swear I’d only take Walker at Tottenham! We’ve got 3 centre halves who’d break the record for a defender it seems then

Mandy was looking immense before injury

Just about sums up English football. Apparently cant be developed by a mediocre PL team, yet a CL standard German team can seemingly find the opportunities.

One day we will see change...
Let's wait and see if he plays first. Everyone was saying the same about Sancho leaving City for Dortmund yet Foden has played more minutes for City's first team since the move than Sancho has for Dortmund.

We're not doing badly. We've recently won the U17 World Cup, runners up in the U17 European Championship, won the Toulon Tournament, won the U20 World Cup, semi finalists in the U21 European Championship, won the U19 European Championship.

Anyone seen much of this lad Everton have signed for £25m? Turkish striker...

They haven't signed him yet. Not sure they'll get him with Besitkas through to the last 16 of the champions league. I guess it depends on how much they're prepared to pay though.

Think the move by Sancho was good news for Foden bringing City to their senses.

After getting Player Of Tournament during Summer, City could not just take him for granted and make promises otherwise he may have gone like Sancho and their future youth policy would be in tatters.

Oliver Burke went there from a Championship level team as well and that didn't work out great for him either.

His manager essentially described him as a talented player with an empty hard drive. Maybe Reece Oxford has a regular SSD and faster RAM.

Sancho still only has 16 token minutes for Dortmund's first team...

I think that’s the point mate. Most talented youth in the world, but they’re not being given chances.

TBF he has missed a more than a few weeks because of the world cup, whom he was with and now he has been injured since the new manager has come in
Foden also missed the same number of weeks for the same world cup.

I don't know the answer to this - but how are players from the other teams doing in comparison to the England squad? How many minutes, and in what leagues, are they getting?
